Lake time

We got out of town early on Friday 

So we could spend as much time as possible on the water.

And we loved every minute of it

It was slightly cold

But nothing you couldn’t get used to

We had lunch on the water

And stayed out well into the evening

It wasn’t a beautiful sunny sunset

But it was nice a smooth and perfect for surfing

Dad rode for a few seconds

But Beckett got a LOT of seconds

Jack couldn’t quite find it

And Tucker tried for the very first time!

No pictures taken but Jack backed down the trailer for the first time

And Weston got the boat on the trailer for the first time.

All these water sports and firsts worked up an appetite—

Nothing that some chili and s’mores couldn’t cure!

We were up and at ‘em in the morning.

We needed some lumber to fix a broken beam on the trailer

(We’d love to blame it on Wes…but it was rotten).

Dad sat in the back.

Looks like we may not need him to tag along anymore

Mom, Tucker and Ranger stayed home—

They went on a trail run

And ride

We hustled back out to the water—

We wanted to try some fishing

And the first ride of The Couch for this summer

It was apparently a bit too much for Wes

Jack decided he wanted to do some driving

But they wanted to do some riding

So Jack learned to drive with riders!

Lots of first and lots of fun—

It was a great weekend!
