#wearamask

This is serious.
Going in to battle...
(the N95 is UNDER the level 3 mask.
Ugh.)

Happy 18

Mom and Dad celebrate 18 years of marriage today.
Aren't they cute?

A week or so ago,
Mom asked if we'd make them dinner
on their anniversary
since going out is out
because, you know, COVID.

We've got flowers!
(Ok, Dad got them.
They are the same kind that were in
the first corsage he bought Mom)

We've got the ambiance

We've got servers

We've got dinner

And Mom even got dessert...
her friend Katherine's amazing key lime cheesecake

It all made for a great evening
Happy anniversary,
Mom and Dad!

ALL the parks!

This Coronavirus Summer has looked very different
from other summers.
We're usually at camp, going on big vacations,
doing all sorts of bucket list things like
Worlds of Fun, the zoo, Royals games...

Not this year.

But, we've decided to see the bright side of things.
Dad is home all summer with us.
We can sleep in and stay up late.
We're perfecting our Minecraft skills.
We're riding bikes and playing in the creek.
And we made a new bucket list.

One of our items this summer
is to visit all 30 parks in Lee's Summit.
Here's a look at our progress:

Some cool critters here

This was a good one--
DQ ice cream and a train to go with it!

We've done around 15-20...
We'll let you know when we've hit them all!

Treats for Dads

What does Tee-Time at the end of the road
on Father's Day weekend call for?

Personalized coozies, of course!

Coop wasn't up for a picture--
but rest assured,
his adorableness was captured on the coozie

Dad liked it!

Remember the shirt teaser?
We got to present it to Pappo today!

Can you see it?
It's our butt prints
and it says
"Pappo's favorite pains in the..."
He likes it!

Mom tried to get Dad
a kayak for Father's Day.
But indecision lasted long enough
that he decided to get something else...
a Jeep lift kit.
He's wanted one since the day
he got the Jeep.

Before

and after
Dad was so happy.
Now he wants new tires.
Mom says we'll have to wait a bit on that.
What else does Dad want on his
special day?

To surf!

Well,
first he'll pull Wes on the knee board

and then give Beck a few tries on the board

I may make it look easy

but Dad makes it look GOOD

Rocking it!

All his fans

We ventured to see Papa Kim
a day or two late...
He liked his gifts too!
We were just excited to see him--
COVID sucks.

Beachin'

All that fun in Arkansas...
now let's have some fun in Missouri!

The weather was a little cool and looked rainy,
so we grabbed our 4-wheelers for some riding.

What started as a trip to the end of the road
with Pappo to fix a tire hazard

turned into a full-fledged
"tee-time" party!

Shirts optional.

It turned into a great afternoon

Eventually, the sun came out
and we wandered into the water

Ahh!
Mud masks!

What Beck does,
I do...

There was a lot of 4-wheeling

and swimming

and hanging out

It was nice to be together
with Reid, Alice, Ben and their parents
and Mema and Pappo.

Ben and Pappo agree.

Not bad for a day we stayed off the water.

The next day was a bit questionable too.
So to the end of the road we headed...

We explored a new area

that had plenty to keep us busy

We did some water races today

and somehow
mooning became part of the game

We came up with a game to find the biggest rock.
Beck and Reid took this to the extreme.

Beck,
showing off his strength

Another fun evening!

with the whole gang!

We had some classic cabin fun too--
card games

and tubing

But check this out:
I (Tucker) rode the Couch!
I had done it a bit last year,
but only for a few minutes.
Today was my first long ride!

And what's this?
Crafting for Father's Day?
Stay tuned...
