Mom thought it would be "easier"
to combine our parties again this year.
So that means 9 of our closest friends
(5 of mine, 4 of Tuck's)
came over for a Sky Zone slumber party!
After playing a rough game of 500
and racing scooters up and down the road,
we started with a snack necklace craft,
stringing Fruit Loops, Funyon's, pretzels
and anything else with a hole
on a string so we had something to munch on.
Now that we are full of sugar and junk,
let's go jump!
(good thing we have several cars
that fit 8 people--
it was a rowdy drive to Sky Zone!)
Did we mention it was Glow Jump?
That made it even crazier!
We did all the things--
basketball,
foam pit,
climbing wall,
dodge ball,
Ninja Warrior...
The funny part was,
we weren't even the craziest people there!
Sky Zone is apparently
the place to be for teenagers on Saturday nights.
THEY were the crazy ones!
But we all stuck together
and had a good time
We had some pizza
and paused for some pictures--
Tuck's besties
My crew
All the crazies together
And then,
because Sky Zone was pretty disorganized this trip,
we "snuck" back into the gym
and jumped for another hour!
Eventually,
it was time to head home.
We had to drive through a wicked storm.
It was kind of fun to get wet
but we were a bit freaked out by the lightning
on the drive home.
Mom and Dad quickly distracted everyone
with the promise of homemade ice cream sandwiches
complete with singing
We had presents
and then,
at around 11:30,
Mom and Dad had us climb into our sleeping bags,
my crew in the basement
and Tuck's in the living room.
There was a lot of laughing
and goofing around
despite a lot of pleas from Mom and Dad.
They gave up at 1:30.
No one is really sure how late we were up.
But we were up bright and early
for eggs and donuts!
One crazy, fun night.
And not nearly as bad as
Mom and Dad worried it might be.
