Exploring is our favorite winter sport
at the cabin.
And we did a lot of it this weekend!
We went back down to the creek bed
and paused for a few pics
here and there
That night we hit the VFW for some shuffleboard.
Jack schooled Grandpa again
but he took some solace in talking with
his wingman--me!
The next day we decided was the perfect day
to find a cave Grandpa found on the internet.
So we took off down B
to where it ended in the lake
and then set off up the path.
We took the upper fork first
and found some cool views of Osceola from
across the main channel
But the definite highlight was the cave...
We're going in!
It was HUGE
with all sorts of cliffs and mounds
to scurry up and explore
It was really pretty inside too
See?? Huge!
That was AWESOME!
An epic day
calls for an epic fire pit
We all pulled up a seat
in one form or another
It was a perfect ending.
We had one more day to get our outside on
So we spent it shooting
Like our gallery?
Safety first
And off we go!
I LOVE my Red Rider
Even Jack got into it
When we weren't shooting,
we built a little hut out of sticks and moss.
It was worth a picture.
We're starting to wonder what our favorite season
at the cabin really is--
summer or winter?
Lots of fun either way.
