MONSTER TRUCKS!

Mom and Dad surprised us today
with tickets to the Toughest Monster Trucks show.

So we grabbed our ear protection

and relaxed in our front row seats!

There were wheelies

and high jumps
(we loved this truck too--
it looked like a 4 wheeler!)

and REALLY high jumps!
This picture doesn't quite capture it--
every time they hit that jump,
they landed and veered
really close to us
(or at least Mom felt that way)

 There were some motorbikes too--
they were probably our favorite.
Their tricks were cooler

It was a big hit.
We're already talking about doing it again!

A glowing night

I have been looking forward to my birthday party
for months!!!
I got to have my first
slumber party.
And not just any slumber party...
a GLOW slumber party!

We kicked it off at SkyZone--
on Friday nights,
it's Glow Night
which means jumping in the dark...

We loaded up on pizza

and cake

and we were ready to hit the trampolines!

Me, Aus and Jack tried out the joust

Jack won!

Kayla had fun with the Littles

She showed them how to
jump into the foam pit

I really wanted to school everyone
on the climbing wall,
but I did't make it much higher than this

Neither did Austin

But Kwasi?
Holy cow,
he made it look EASY!

There was a really cool
Ninja Warrior course

B was determined to get up the wall

So with fingernails

and grit

he made it up!

Hit that button!

Tuck did some major jumping

and I mastered Jacob's ladder

Mack and Bennett took on the
dunking course

We had a blast!

Did I mention there were
a lot of Nerf gun wars?

and candy and pretzel necklaces

We needed a snack after all that jumping

And of course,
more glowing stuff

We finally settled in for a movie
I think most of us were asleep by 2am

It was all I hoped it would be!!!

8 is going to be great!

8 year olds love hot wings

It's true.
It's a thing.
It's a part of getting older.
Rumor is,
when I turn 10,
I'll get to try Hooter's wings.
I guess I'm in training.

Calling all Huskies, Class of 2031!

Kindergarten Round-up
was tonight.
I was beyond excited
to start my elementary school career.

We got nametags,
toured the school,
met our teachers.

We got to draw pictures
of ourselves
that will be posted at HPE.

I'm kicking a soccer ball in mine

We got to take a bus ride too.
Tucker's my buddy.
I couldn't leave him behind.

I had some other friends along for the ride too

Holy cow!
Let the countdown to August begin!

Lego masterpieces

We've been busy at Kids Country
these days,
digging through huge bins of legos,
finding just the right pieces.

Jack and his friend made a throne
for a potato man
that we are watching decompose
(I know, weird, right?)

I made an R2D2
with only a picture to look at
Guess our Lego Camps
have been paying off...

More Spring Breakin'

We spent some time on and around the water,
but we had a lot of other things to do this week too.

Dad hung the new swing
Aunt Mandy and Uncle Kurt got us for Christmas

It is AWESOME!

You feel like you are flying!

Whee!!!

Thanks, Mandy and Kurt!

We played some games too.
Minecraft Card Game,
Sets.

Heads Up was a big hit too

Mom and Tuck were a good team

We raked leaves

and built some fires
staying toasty
outside

and inside

Tuck was naked a lot.

And we rode 4 wheelers a lot.

Did I mention the goofiness?

 The HUGE undertaking this week
was Dad's jack-up of the garage
so the new boat had a home

See?
Literally, jacked up

It was a lot of work

Dad was busy for days

 We peed on more things.

Wrestled with Pappo

We won $130 playing Keno!

We had an epic Poker Night too!
We played until 2:30 in the morning.
Jack was the big winner (of ~$3.50)
pulling out the win in 7-card no-peek,
complete with Pappo's new "death card"--
if you got the ace of spades,
the whole game started over

All this fun really wore Ranger out

Be careful if you are the first to sleep...
people mess with you!

Did I mention the 4 wheeling?

We rode A LOT!

All around the camp

Up and down the road

We gave each other rides

and got muddy (and stuck)
all over the backroads

We did a TON of hiking and tromping too.
Wes and I decided we'd start a hiking stick company.
J&W Hiking Company.
Wes and B are pictured here
with a few of our best walking sticks.

We saw some cool things on our trips--
we found bones, feathers,
mossy patches, waterfalls,
a deerstand, caves...

Mom thought this tree looked like fairies
should live in it

Hiking rocks!

 On our last hike,
we found this cool rock wall
we decided to scale

This is Beckett's
"Mom,-I-can-NOT-take-pictures-
while-climbing-a-rock-wall" face

Made it!
Did I mention Shane and Cooper
joined us Friday thru Sunday?
Yep!

We DEFINITELY had a great time!

Hiking,

Chillin' in the boat...

Peeing on things...
(where did you think we got it?)

 Thanks for another
great trip, Cabin!
 (Notice the finished,
super-awesome,
looks-like-it's-always-been-like-that
garage!
Way to go, Dad!)
