What are we doing on top of this cliff?
ZIPLINING!
After a bit of research,
Mom and Dad chose this particular trip because it was cheaper
Than the Royal Caribbean one
AND Tucker made the high requirements…
Which he’s never done before.
Which means…
This is his first zip line!
Which he immediately crushed!
It was the craziest ziplining course we’ve very been on—
We were encouraged to flip and jump!
Which most of us embraced…
…and some were a bit slower
It was maybe not the safest course…
The path was a bit rickety in places,
The guides were our brakes,
They were often putting people on as they were taking people off,
And we didn’t have helmets
But, wow, was it a blast!
The longest, fastest zip was at the end—
We actually had to tandem
Which, of course, Dad made look awesome
Dad made every zip look awesome
Then we were off to meet the animals.
First were the monkeys
They seemed to really like Dad
And Jack
Mom did her best to NOT get jumped on
And Tucker finally got the courage to hold one
You’d think we’d never seen guinea pigs before
They were pretty cute
And a lot less pokey then Henry the hedgehog
Think if Tucker put this one in his pocket
Anyone would notice?
Those were fun
But the sloths were the REAL highlight.
We all took turns holding Flash
She was much softer than you would guess
Look at her staring so lovingly at Jackson
Even Mom took a turn
How about a sloth and family photo?
An obligatory port picture
And then it was back on ship for lunch and more pool time
Mom and Dad slipped away to the adults-only pool—
A first for them.
They met a lovely couple vacationing from Australia
What a small world—
That couple (and their kids)
Were Mandy and Kurt’s neighbors on the ship!
Guess who’s birthday it was tonight at dinner?
We had time for some after-dinner drinks
(Check out the super cool 1400 Margarita!
Smoke/steam escapes when you pop the bubble!)
And some lounging with serious faces
Before our show—
It was Aqua Action tonight,
A swimming/dancing/diving/acrobatic show
It turned out to be our favorite show of the week
Mom couldn’t resist this picture
That should have been enough for one day…
But then we HAD to hit the silent disco
(They are Mom’s favorite)
Alright,
That’s enough for one day.
What will tomorrow bring?
