Happy New Years!

This year, Mom and Dad and I celebrated New Year's Eve without our neighbors.
Everyone met at Joe and Cathy's and we had crab legs, shrimp pasta, and lots of tasty desserts.
There was even yummy punch and cookies for the kids!
Here's the whole crew (minus about 10 other kids).

After I went to bed, Mom and Dad could relax with the other adults.
Here's Dad with our neighbors Bo (on the left) and Joe (on the right).
I'm really starting to love "padies" (parties).
Happy 2010!

Mama's belly

I finally convinced Mama to put a belly picture on the blog. Here she is at 23 weeks (that was about a week ago now). Baby brother is getting big!

Another snow adventure

It snowed and snowed and snowed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Mom thought we should go out and test out my new sled.

Things went really well last time.

And it started out ok this time...

But things fell apart quickly.
Despite Mom's best attempts to get me to play in the snow,
all I did was cry as she pulled me around on the sled.

I was briefly distracted when I got snow in my glove.

But soon, the crying started again.
Maybe next time.

Christmas take 2

After a nap, we headed to Grandma Phyllis's house.

And after dinner, it was time for more presents!

I helped Great Grandpa Carl with his.

Then I got to work on mine...

Amongst the fun,
I got a drum/shaker/tambourine set and a guitar!
Dad and I formed a band.
We were jammin'.

Then Mikayla and Austin joined in.

We helped Papa put together one of Kayla's toys.

And then we topped off the night with a ride around the living room in a box.
Great Grandpa Carl is stronger than he looks!

" 'Erry Christmas!"
"Wanna do it again!"

Christmas is here!!!

After weeks of waiting,
Santa finally came to out house!!!

There was so much good stuff under the tree...

...Dad and I could hardly wait to come downstairs!!!

I got some really great stuff.
Like this tricycle,

And a remote control Lightning McQueen car,

And a bunch of new stuff for my train.
Everyone got to work putting things together.

Then, Grandma and Grandpa came over.
We ate breakfast and opened even more presents.

Grandpa and Daddy got matching hats, but I think it looks better on me.

Grandma and Grandpa brought the coolest gift of all...
A Power Wheels Truck!!!
It has a tailgate that goes up and down, room for 2 people to ride, and even a working radio!!!

I tried to convince Grandma to get in for a ride.
She said maybe once I get my license.

We had to take it to the basement for a test drive.
I can't wait until it's warm enough to take it for a real test drive!

It was a great morning!
"Do it again?"

Twas the Night Before Christmas...

After what seemed like forever,
it was finally Christmas Eve!!!

Mommy, Grandma J and I went to church.
It was fun. I really liked all the singing.
I was perfectly quiet and behaved through the whole thing.
I even took a quick bathroom break in the middle.
Mom was amazed.

After that, through the blowing snow storm, we set out for Great Aunt Carol's house.

Everyone was there!
Chelsea and Matthew

Aunt Peggy and Uncle Mark

Aaron, Rachel, Grandma, and Jake

Grandpa and Aunt Mandy

And of course, Aunt Carol and Daddy.

After dinner, I helped everyone open their presents.

And Mommy helped me open mine.

I got to play with Sydney, Carol and Steve's Great Dane.
She's HUGE!
And we think a little jealous of all the attention I was getting
(she kept taking my arm in her mouth--not biting, just trying to figure out where I ranked in the scheme of things).

I had a really good time playing with Chelsea.

She kept we well entertained so Mom and Dad could relax.
So when is Santa Claus coming???

What's in the basement?

My awesome tent and tunnels and clubhouse, of course!!!

We're in the process of decorating.
Please excuse the mess.

Grandpa Mike turns 60

Tonight we all gathered at Grandma and Grandpa's house for Grandpa's birthday.
I love birthday parties.

The whole fam was there!

After dinner, Grandma and I played a matching game.

Then I took the game into the living room to play with Daddy and Grandpa.

There was time for coloring.

And then it was time for DESSERT!!!
We had PINK PIE!
(It's strawberry jello and whipped cream.)
I LOVE PINK PIE!

Then there was time for some stacking of my new blocks.
It was a fun night.
Happy Birthday, Papa Mike!

Underwear model

I was pretty excited to be running around the Christmas party in nothing but my underwear.

There was dancing...

...And more dancing.

And a quick pose for the adoring public.

A note from Mom:
So how is potty training going, you ask? Amazingly well. I was really skeptical when preschool asked us to give it a chance, but he's done great. No accidents in over a week. He's really into it. Even if he is in a pull-up when we are out to eat or shopping, he'll ask to go to the potty. And they are always dry. I'm amazed. Will it last when the baby comes? Who knows. But we'll take the lack of diapers while it lasts...

Christmas with friends

Tonight was a party with all Mom and Dad's friends.
Everyone was there!

Molly and Ashley

Joel and Daddy

Brad and Allen

Kelly and Shane
And Mommy who was taking the pictures.
Mike and Amber came a little later.
And Amy and Tom flew in from Chicago!

Molly and Joel brought me a present...
What could it be???

A TONKA TRUCK!!!
It is perfect for giving all my stuffed Friends a ride.

Oh, and did I mention it's great for giving ME a ride too?

After all the presents, I grabbed a quick game of golf.
Then it was off to bed so Mom and Dad could have some "Adult Time."
Too bad Mom fell asleep with me.
Maybe next time.
Merry Christmas everyone!
