Grandma's Birthday Party

EVERYONE deserves a birthday party!

Especially Grandma!

We invited her and Grandpa out on the boat

for some swimming (it is Labor Day weekend after all!)

and Mom delivered.

Sadly, Uncle Adam's car broke down on the way over,

so they missed out on pie!

We'll save them some.

We hadn't been to a game in a while--

it's time to fix that!

We were excited for it to get going!

Well, we were excited for it to get going

because Mom and Dad promised that after the 2nd inning

we could check out the kids' stuff in the outfield

It was a lovely night

Just as we were headed back to our seats...

RAIN!

It was kinda fun.

We hid under the covered section with everyone else,

eating peanuts, drinking pop,

and dancing to all the songs they played about rain

Soon, we were back in action.

Well, 3 of us made it to the end

And boy was it worth it!

Royals may have lost,

it may have rained,

it may be 11:00 at night,

but there are FIREWORKS!

Beck's special day with Dad

It is not very often I get to do something by myself.

Today, Grandma P and Papa are in Biloxi

and Grandma J is busy

and Mom has to work.

That's all fine.

That means Dad and I get a day just to ourselves.

We went to the zoo!

First day of First Grade

I'm sad to see summer end,

but THRILLED to start First Grade!

I even got my very favorite, Mrs. Burbee, again!!!

(She moved up from kindergarten)

I'm pretty darn good.

I can take a ball from just about anyone,

dribble down the field,

and score.

It takes a lot of determination.

But I'm up for it!

Be-doh is of course there to support us!

Jack is playing on Coach Jeanna's team again this year

But playing Keeper is his favorite.
