Happy Birthday Grandma Phyllis!

We did birthday up right for Grandma P this year.

The grandkids got a group picture,

we surprised her with a spa day,

then took her out to a Greek dinner.

But the best part?

The cupcakes for dessert!

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

that's what I'm talking about!

Backyard Camping

The time has come for the

2nd Annual Legacy Wood Campout!

We could not have been more excited.

Last year was really cold.

We enjoyed the smores and campfire,

but no one made it through the night in the tent.

We were shivering too much.

This year was much nicer.

About 10 families, 40 people,

enjoying pizza, ice cream sundaes,

and libations.

But us kids were much more

excited about...

Bounce Houses!

And Bounce House Waterslides!

I took as many turns as I could

Wes was right behind me

Mika made a splash too

And our good friend Connor

In addition to sliding,

it was pretty fun to climb on

 There was time for some digging of course

And more bouncing

What's up with all the crazy lights, you ask?

Glow-in-the-dark necklaces and bracelets

for glow-in-the-dark tag!

Weston shook his booty with the girls

to Dance Revolution

(he was actually really good and kept right up!)

The best part of the night?

Crawling into our sleeping bags in the tent!!!

Dad and Mike,

The evening was a huge success.

However, the hours of pouring rain chased 

several families inside in the middle of the night.

But not us!

Our mighty tent and the mighty Reeds made it through the night!

We'll do anything for the promise

of donuts at daylight.

Can't wait for next year!

Look who came to breakfast

We were at the monthly Sweeney Family Breakfast,

when who should appear in the parking lot but

Slugerrrr!

That's a photo-op if I've ever seen one!

Theater in the Park

They were showing "The Lorax" at Legacy tonight

and we didn't want to miss it!

We loaded up our blankets and chairs,

and hit the park

Even Mike and Mika came along

Aus and Kayla were there too...

but we missed the pic 

Nothing like a good flick

Especially with your family and friends

A day on the farm

Mom worked waaay too many hours last week,

so she took a morning off to spend some quality time with us...

at Deanna Rose!

After resting up from taking us to Coco Key Waterpark earlier in the week,

Grandma Janice decided to come along too...

First up,

and probably our favorite thing of the day,

were the TRACTORS!

After watching the tractor pull last weekend,

we were anxious for a turn

I needed a little help from Grandma Janice

Jack was a pro

Then we fed some geese

and the baby goats

They were more interested in my fingers

than the bottles of milk!

Jack was swarmed a few times

Pausing for a picture with this little cutie

(I meant the goat, not me) 

After checking out the milking barn,

we stopped to ring a few cow bells

And there was even a TRAIN!

Another big hit was the slides.

You had to climb up the stairs in the barn 

and across the bridge to get to them

We took several turns

Well, more than several

You'd think we'd never seen a slide before

We ended up the day

digging in the sand

 Tractors, trains, and diggers?

We may never leave.

Family bike ride

We had no choice.

75 degrees,

a sunny evening,

and all those new roads?

It was just screaming for a bike ride!

Tractor pulls and corn dogs

We made the annual trip to the State Fair today.

But we did the trip up right this time...

Why the ear plugs?

Because of the TRACTORS!

We saw our first tractor pull.

Guess what?

There were trucks pulling too!

We were a little excited to be there

Ok, a LOT excited!

They were BIG, and LOUD, and RUMBLY!

Jack felt sorry for the bugs.

Surly they were all getting choked by the smoke.

That's a good way to spend a morning!

What's for lunch at the State Fair?

Double-long corn dogs and fresh squeeze lemonade, of course!

We decided to try out some rides...

The view from the ferris wheel was amazing!

Dad said he could see our house from up there

We were more than thrilled to ride the tanks, too

What fun!

It doesn't get much better than this!

Or so we thought...

Where are we now?

Getting clearer?

The machinery display!!!

Future digger-in-training

Jack says he's going to get an excavator

and I'll get a dump truck

and we will dig all over the world together

For now, I'll settle for a ride in the bucket!

Hmmm,

do you have a license?

We spent some time with the pigs, goats, and cows too.

Before long,

it was time to head home.

But we made one last stop...

...to see the Apache!

Maybe I'll fly one of these one day

instead of the dump truck

A second ride on the tractor's wagon,

and our day was complete
