Lots of tricks and treats

Happy Halloween!

Ours started with a huge party at school.
Mom says here's her proof she worked
the slime table at Jack's party
(notice the distinct avoidance of his mother).

After all the parties,
we had our annual costume parade.
This year, for something different,
we had it outside on the playground.
It was MASSIVE!

Here I am!
Super proud of my costume!

Weston suddenly decided
being a Power Ranger
was not what he wanted to be
(even though this was
ALL his idea).
Note the turned inside out
ninja shield

Jack, on the other hand,
has now fully embraced
his poop emoji

After school,
we gobbled up some pizza
and hit the road with GiGi and Pappo
to see what the neighborhood had to offer

Let's do this!

Grandpa was very helpful

We had a lot of fun
running from house to house

We met some friends along the way

Imaginary ones too

There were plenty of spooky houses

What a night!

Now, let's see what we got...

LOTS of good stuff!

Ugh.
My tummy hurst already.

Until next year!

The Dragon's last hurrah

Well, we may not have
won many games,
but I did have a good time
this season.

It's all led up to this--
the tournament.

We had 2 games Saturday,
starting bright and early
with the fog

We played hard

Sorry I'm so small--
iPhone isn't awesome

Despite our best efforts,
we lost them both

But we suddenly got
to play again Sunday...
and we tied!

We all gathered to
celebrate our season
on Monday.
As I told Coach,
"I'm thankful that
at least we didn't lose
every game..."
Ha!

We had some treats
and played some kickball

Mom liked Coach Micah's take on the trophy--
"Everyone doesn't 'just get a trophy.'
This is a participation trophy:
a show that you played on a team,
made some friends,
and learned a few things about soccer."
That's everything that we hoped for
from my first season back!

Pre-Halloween party

We have some serious fall fun
to get done tonight.

We kicked it off
with pumpkin carving.

Everyone had a plan

We were designing

And scooping

Tucker could have scooped all day

I was REALLY proud of mine.
A pumpkin eating another pumpkin.
I'd been planning this for weeks.

They all turned out great!

Jack's big mouth,
Tuck's Power Ranger,
my pumpkin-eating pumpkin,
and Beck's werewolf

They look even better outside

Then it was on to popcorn
and a movie on the deck

We've never made Jiffypop before.
Dad and B were amazed

Whoa!!
That's awesome!
Then we drug our sleeping bags onto the deck
and watched Ghostbusters.
We forgot to get a picture
but I can promise you,
it was as awesome as it sounds.

Warming up

Our school Trunk or Treat
was tonight.
We were excited to get to wear
our costumes again

There were a lot of people there!

And a lot of cool trunks.

Even Jack got into the event!
Alright, enough practice.
We're ready for Halloween!

Snuggles

Sometimes we're spooning

Sometimes we're lapping
Anything for some lovin'

Meat eater

I don't know if you know this,
but I'm going to be a paleontologist
when I grow up.
To prepare for my study of carnivores,
I'm getting in some personal experience.
I can devour ribs
and chicken wings
like my life depended on it.
See?
Guess you should call me
B. Rex.

I. Can't. Even

It had been a while since we took family pictures.
The new ones are
DEFINTELY
worth sharing:

We clean up pretty well.
