Hitting my 'stones

Mom says reaching for things is an important milestone. Consider me competent.
Not only can I bat at my friends on my carseat, but I can smile, coo, and laugh at them at the same time.
Genius? Maybe. Adorable? Definitely.

Jack's First Fish!

Dad and I went fishing this morning while Wes and Mom relaxed at home.
And check it out...
I caught one!!!
Actually, I caught three!

However, not long after this picture was taken, I fell into the pond.

After that, fishing wasn't so much fun any more.

Music in the street

We finally made it to one of the Free Friday Night Concerts in downtown LS.
It was Blues and Jazz Fest.
I was so 'cited!
On the way, we saw a train crossing a bridge.

Not so thrilled about the noise.

The music was pretty good.

Mom and Dad enjoyed a drink on a nice summer night.

Wes enjoyed the noise.

I enjoyed some interpretive dance with my glow stick.

All in all, a good night.

Jackism

Jack was playing golf in the living room. Ever since the Olympics and our trip to see the Mavericks, he's been obsessed with hockey. And since golf is a lot like hockey (big stick hitting little ball/puck), he gets them confused...

Jack: Dad, I'm really good at hockey.
Dad: Yes, but Jack, it's golf, not hockey.
Jack: Mom, it's golf. But it might be hockey.

The retell doesn't do it justice. It was pretty hilarious when he said it. Lots of things are like that. It's a spoon, but it might be a fork. It's time for bed, but it might be time to play. Etc, etc.
