Jackson had his senior picture today

And Mom thought we should tag along for a few family pictures too.

We went for a different look this time—

City formal.

We embraced it.

These are us just messing around…

We’re pretty excited to see what our photographer

Comes up with!

 

Sniper

Beck went paintballing with some friends tonight 

And he was ON FIRE

Out of 6 games,

He was shot ONCE

And was the last man standing twice

His friends starting fighting over who got Beckett on their team

Because they would always win.

Nice job, Beck!

All those hours at the cabin are paying off!

 

A well deserved MVP

When you score 3 touchdowns

In the first quarter,

You earn yourself the MVP necklace.

A little band competition

Competition season is on—

And first up is Blue Springs Invitational.

Ready to go!

They did a nice job

Played their show well

But they were just outplayed.

The season is young—

Time to start thinking about next weekend…

 

A little Oktoberfest

We came…

We Music’ed, 

Drank,

Shopped,

Tent’ed…

We conquered.

 

One last Husky Fall Festival

There’s a lot of finals this year—

And the Fall Festival is another one.

Our tickets included all sorts of carnival games…

But Tucker preferred to play football with his friends

Beckett and neighbor Carsen got their money’s worth

A 13th and final!

It’s been a good run!

 

A busy start to the week…

We kicked off with the annual

Music Department Ice Cream Social

Where we finally got to hear the entire halftime show

Beckett had his second football game—

Lots of plays

But not quite as much success against a tough team.

He was still pleased with his game

(That’s him in the backfield,

Trying to get a running play going)

Jack and Wes had some AWESOME times

In their meet:

Wes dropped 0.6 seconds in the 50 free,

Hitting of goal of breaking 30 seconds

With a new PR of 29.72s.

Annnnnd,

He’s a lot closer to his 6:30 goal in the 500,

Dropping over 9 seconds

With a new PR of 6:40.83. 

For Jackson—

no PR in the 200

But a HUGE PR in the 100,

Dropping 1.25s and finally dropping below 1 minute

For a new PR of 58.75s!

We was also chosen to swim not 1 but 2 relays!

Whew!

And that’s only Monday and Tuesday!

Soulroot, anyone?

We didn’t have anything else going on

On this fine September night

So Mom and Dad enticed us with dinner out

And convinced us to go to the Soulroot concert at the Legacy Amphitheater

Despite the less than enthusiastic faces,

We have to admit,

It was a pretty good time.

A big bass record

Beckett’s fishing frenzy continues—

He’d fish every day if he could!

He convinced Dad to go to the Jacomo reservoir today…

And check out this beauty!

 

A 2nd invitational!

Jack is earning his place on the team this year—

He swam in a HUGE invitational tonight.

He was middle of the pack in the 200,

2 seconds off his PR.

And then it was off to the 500…

It’s such a long, brutal race!

He cut nearly 4 seconds off his time

But not enough to make the finals.

Getting a little better every day!

Middle school football debut

Beckett earned the starting running back position

On the Bison C Team…

And he proved he should be there!

He had a 25 yard run, 

Scoring the first touchdown of the season!

AND, he got the 2 point conversion!

He had a couple of other nice plays,

Nearly scoring another 2 point conversion,

And made some nice tackles on special teams

The team won 30-6.

Nice start to the season,

It’s fun to see him having so much fun!

Hit the showers, bud.

You earned it!

Because if you give him the ball,

Tucker will make things happen.

HOCO fun

With Wes, Jack and Dad IN the parade,

And Beckett at football practice,

It was just the 2 of us in the crowd at the parade

We caught Wes with his cymbals 

And Jack, Dad, and Keanu on their float

Swim team was looking good

Can you find Jack and Wes on the list?

Then it was off to the game—

Wes is looking good in front ensemble 

And Mom, Dad and Jack 

We’re looking good at halftime

With all that HOCO excitement,

Everybody decided to go to the dance

Wes went with a few friends 

Who met up with more friends

And Jack met some friends there

Just like that,

HOCO 2025 is in the books!

Jackson, our HOCO King Candidate

Courtwarming attendant, move over—

Jackson is up for HOCO KING this year!

Mom was so excited to dredge up her cheerleader roots

And make banners and decorations for the float.

At the pep assembly,

Jackson’s attendant Keanu

Had the idea to sport a lovely dress

And carry him into the gym

They ARE kinda similar!

They it was off to the parade

They looked good in the Jeep!

Throwing candy to his adoring fans!

Then to the football game—

We had special seats!

All the King Candidates—

Frank, Jackson, Tre, and Jake.

A nice looking bunch!

Mom and Dad were pretty excited to escort him

Here’s his announcement!

They read all 20+ activities and offices Jackson has

(Maybe not 20, but it was pretty impressive)

Aaaand…

He didn’t win.

But he didn’t care.

It was all about the experience.

And his fans were still proud!
