Birthday = brownies!

Grandma Janice's birthday was back on the 13th.

You know what that calls for...

dessert!

We thought it was a little funny

we had brownie sundaes

instead of cake.

But we got over that fast...

Mmmmm!

Our first Pinewood Derby

Well, we may not have put a ton of time

into our cars this year,

but we were still excited for the big

Pinewood Derby race!

The Cub Scout cars

(mine is the green one up front)

The Outlaw cars

(all the non-Cub Scouts--

Weston's is the blue and red one in the back)

We anxiously waited

And hung out as a family

Finally,

the races got going!

Ready?

3...2...1...GO!

Flying down the track!

There was a glitch in the system,

so even though mine came in 5th,

it said it was in first this heat.

Mom thought we should get a picture

because it may not look like this again!

Glitch fixed.

I started taking notes on

which cars were fast

so I would know better what to do

next year

(although mine was only 0.1 second behind the winner most of the time!)

No matter.

We had a good time.

Even Beckett was mesmerized

during the races

Finally,

it was Weston's turn.

He was really excited!

Hoping for a winner!

Unfortunately,

his car was about a second slower than the rest.

It was one of Dad's old PWD cars,

repainted.

And maybe crashed into the walls a couple of times.

And slept with a few times.

Hmmm.  Maybe that slowed it down. 

We still came home with a ribbon and a patch!

And some big plans for next year...

Starstruck

Tonight we ventured to LS West

to cheer for cousin Jake at his wrestling meet.

I told everyone I needed to cheer for

"my best friend Jake"

Get ready...

GO!

He pinned him!

(He won by a "fall" we learned is the wrestling terminology) 

After the meet,

he came up to take a picture with us.

As you can tell by the look on our faces,

you'd have thought we were meeting a celebrity.

I think we're going to have a lot of fun

next time Jake babysits...

Another Big Boy step

The crib may not have gone so well,

but a have another milestone to master...

I'm starting preschool today!

Me, Truman, and my backpack are ready!

#3 becomes a Big Boy...almost

I was a bit jealous of my big brothers' new room.

So this happened...

Yep, that's right!

A toddler bed for me! 

I tucked Truman in just so

Oh wait.

I would rather get ME tucked in!

Me and my buddies are having a 

Big Boy sleepover!

This is what things looked like in the morning:

I fell out 3 times.

The next night,

I woke up at 11:30 and didn't go back to sleep until after 1.

I'm a little disoriented without the safety of all 4 sides.

So the crib is back together.

Guess I'm not quite ready...

A bear for Megalodon

Every Reed Baby gets a bear.

The bear is named whatever we are called before we are born.

Meet Hamilton (Weston), Curly (Jackson), Bucket (Beckett),

and Megalodon (Baby #4)

We were sort of excited to get a bear for our brother

But REALLY excited to get a bear for ourselves!

I got Batbear 

Jackson got Phillip

 

Stuffing the bears is always fun--

pushing the pedal,

warming the heart

It's was Beckett's first time--

he was pretty fascinated with Truman's stuffing

We gave them baths

 And tested out the accessories

Who gave that elephant a license?

Oh right!

And we got Megalodon!

We couldn't wait to get them home!

They've been playing together all weekend!
