My first parade

In honor of the 4th of July,
we had a parade at preschool.

Here's me and all my friends, coming around the playground.
(I'm in the very middle)

Hello, parade-watchers!

We made these shirts--cool, huh?

All that walking makes me hot!
A popsicle makes everything cooler...
That was fun!

Wes at 3 months

I'm 3 months old now!

This month, I saw an occupational therapist to work on my weak suck
and a physical therapist to work on my weak neck.
I even have daily exercises for both.

I'm a pretty good napper as long as someone is holding me.
And I'm only getting up once at night.

I went to the pool for the first time!

My neck is getting stronger!

And I'm really good at smiles!

And sticking out my tongue.

Happy 3 months to me!!!

What do you do on a raining Sunday?

Have a snack in a safari tent in the hearth room...

...and paint a menagerie to go with it!

Tim's wedding

Mom's cousin Tim got married today.
It was really fun.

Wes and I took naps at Grandma Phyllis's during the wedding.
This gave Mom and Dad a chance to go out for a drink with Aunt Mandy before the reception.

Then they picked us up and off we went!
You can't tell, but Wes and I are in fact in matching outfits
(Thanks, Grandma Janice!)

Everyone oohed and aahed over Wes...

...but all I cared about was dancing!

I danced with Dad...

...and Mom.

Wes just slept.
We stayed out really late and partied it up!

Congrats Tim and Megan!

A sick day

Sometimes when you are feeling under the weather...

...you just have to hang out with your friends.

It's never too early to start...

...studying for medical boards.
Gotta get a jump on the competition!

Jackisms

Jack is now in charge of setting the forks out for dinner.
Mama: Fork Man? (that's what he likes to be called) Can you please set out the forks for dinner?
Jack: No, you can just eat with your hands.

We are no longer Mama and Daddy. Suddenly 3 days ago we became Mom and Dad. No idea why the change.

The other night, Jack asked Dad to stay with him for a few minutes more at bedtime. As Aaron lay there with him, Jack reached over, patted his arm and said, "Daddy, you are my best friend." It brought Dad to tears.

Jack has learned 2 is more than 1, as in "Jack we are going upstairs to bed in 1 more minute." "No," replies Jack, "let's go in 2 more minutes."

Me and my brother

Just a few pics of me and my brother.

Keeping an eye on him...

Watching cartoons

We hang out a lot.
I love him!

Weston at 12 weeks

I've been pretty busy since the last update, and I've been keeping Mom and Dad on their toes for sure.

So, when we left off, we were getting up every 2 hours to eat and Mom to pump,
Mom's supply was sad, and I needed to gain a bunch of weight.

Well things have improved on almost all fronts.

I now get to eat when I'm hungry for the most part (I still have to be woken up every once in a while).
Every 2-3 hours during the day I cry for some food.
Every 4-5 hours overnight I wake myself up to eat
(Dad is especially thrilled to be sleeping again!).

Mom's supply, with a lot of work, came back.

And best of all, I've gained a bunch of weight.
I weigh 10 pounds, 3.5 ounces as of last week.
It may be 3rd percentile, but I'm moving right along!

I'm smiling a lot (although here I look pretty serious).
And cooing at everyone.
I'll have a conversation with anyone who looks my way!

We're working on tummy time.
It's a bit rough.

So overall, things are going well.
Come to find out, the big reason for all our problems was
that I don't suck very well.
Why, you ask?
We're still sorting that out.
We'll keep you posted.

What happened to my hair???

I use to have hair.
It wasn't a lot, but it was there.

Now I'm afraid to say, it has all fallen out.

I look like a cross between a koala bear and a bald old man.

I'm not too worried, though.
I'm still adorable!

No swim lessons today

I've been taking swim lessons with Miss Lauren, learning how to blow bubbles and "scoop" with my arms and kick my legs (no good pictures yet--hard for Mama to take pictures while we're in the water since Daddy stays home with Wes).

It's been really fun.

But today, we were rained out by a BIG storm.

Look what appeared over our house!

It looked like it went all the way to the ground!
I guess that will make up for the missed lesson.
That and going to dinner with Daddy and Grandma to Dairy Queen.
We even saw some trains!
A pretty good day in the end.

Cousin Coleman turns 1!

Yep, our cousin Coleman turned 1 today.
Of course we had to have a party!

Here's the man of the hour and his Dad
(love the matching shirts!)

Weston was there too
(he's the one behind all the coolies)

There was cake...

...and lots of presents to open.

I had to help out,
especially when he got a train.
I just wanted to be sure it worked ok for him.

Then I took a break with Dad and Wes.
Happy Birthday, Coleman!

Back to Paradise

Daddy had to work today (even though it was Saturday!),
so Grandma came over and we headed over to Paradise Park for some more fun.

Grandma so fun!
She climbed though all the tunnels with me (see her in the background?)...

...played at the water table...

...and even let me put some face paint on her!

As usual, I did a stunning job on myself.

And of course, we had to stop and play with the train.
Thanks for coming, Grandma!

Another fieldtrip!

Today we (Mama and I) went to the zoo with my preschool.
All this fieldtrip stuff is pretty fun!

It started with a ride on the school bus...

...then a ride on the carousel...

...and then a ride on the train!

All that riding worked up an appetite.

After we got our strength up,
it was time to see some animals.

We saw elephants, sea lions, flamingos,
tigers,
and gorillas
and a bunch of animals whose names I can't remember.

Then we all took one more ride on the tram with all my friends.
What a day!
