It's FINALLY done!

It took 10 weeks longer than they said it would,
but it was worth the wait!

We refinished all the outdoor furniture
and are finally getting to use it!

The fireplace and TV are being used quite a bit

We're in the process of refinishing the table and chairs too

And had to redo nearly all the landscaping
(it got rather trampled)

GiGi came over and helped Mom
make a curtain--
we can even sit outside when the rain is blowing!
Yep.
Definitely worth all Mom's extra shifts
at work!!!

Another season closed

It was a good year for the Blue Blobbies.
We only lost 1 game in the regular season.
And my skills have really improved!
You should see my maradona!
Can't wait until the fall!

Lego Camp

We did it last year and had so much fun,
it deserved a repeat performance.

We learned about engineering
while having some fun!

Some of our creations:
a ferris wheel

Helicopters

An entire city
We had a blast.
A good start to summer!

Cabin whirlwind

Mom had to work Memorial Day weekend.
Or at least Saturday and Monday.
So...
why not squeeze in a 24 hour trip to the cabin???

The weather was BEAUTIFUL
for a day on the lake.

Complete with fishing

and chatting

and chilling out

Now THIS is how you spend a Sunday!

Everyone was at the cabin--
Ian, Coleman, Reid, Alice,
Uncle Kurt and Aunt Mandy,
of course GiGi and Grandpa
and even Chelsea

There was a lot of fun had
but it was hard to capture in pictures.

Here's a whole lotta boys on the boat
playing with water guns and livewells

Gotta love the boat!

Welcome summer!

Fun with friends

After a long week out of school
and a night of soccer clinic,
sometimes you just need to wind down on the deck

with some good friends
although 1am may have been a bit too late
to wind...

Too funny

My teacher Ms. Kiane caught this today.
Can't a man sleep in peace???

Boyisms...

It's been a while, but here is a quote we don't want to forget...

Beck--"If I could be any animal, I'd be a humpback whale."  Why?  "Because I want to hump backwards."

Finally back to the cabin!

Man,
after all the fun down here in March,
we've been counting the days until we could get back!

Tuck put on all his gear
to get ready for the day.
Helmet-check.
Headlamp-check,
Driving gloves-check.
Someone else's shoes-check.
No pants-check.

Dad's long-awaited accoutrement arrived!

And my surprise was there...
a new, BIGGER 4 wheeler.

Can you tell by my face
I'm a little happy?
Thanks Grandpa and GiGi!

We did some Ranger and 4 wheel driving

and explored all the washed out roads

Grandpa was feeling feisty
this weekend.
He tried to convince us this snake skin
was a real snake for a bit

He chased Weston all over the camp
and depantsed him a few times

We enjoyed some cocktails on the deck
(Straws provided by me, of course)

We were SUPER excited
that GiGi got us fidget spinners

and we made sure to pester
Uncle Kurt as much as possible.

We celebrated Mom's 38th birthday too!

It was a festive event

Topped off by a family poker night

with the whole fam!

Sunday, Tuck donned his obligatory outfit again

and we did a bit more 4 wheeling
before we had to head home

We sure do love it down here!

Another school year winds down

One of our FAVORITE days of the year
is Field Day.
Mom works at it sometimes
but had to miss out this year.
But Ms. Kasper took some pictures
so she felt like she was there...

Tug of war.
So awesome

Love the parachute too

But the best...
drip, drip SQUEEZE!
No one minded getting wet.

I'm going to miss HPE this summer!

Mom's day

Snuggling with boys in the morning

+ Coffee on the new deck before breakfast

(That was Mom's one request)

+ Brunch, landscaping, and tons of soccer in the afternoon
ending with more snuggling in the evening
= one happy Mama

Another soccer finale

Wow!
It's tournament time again!
Where did the season go???

My team played 3 games

We played incredible--
awesome skills,
tremendous effort,
all heart

But, we came up short.
No medals this year.
Coach Ryan didn't care.
We had an awesome season.

Love my Blue Blobbies!

Did I mention Tucker
worked on his skills
all season too?

On to Jackson's Raptors...

Jack had an awesome season too.
He rocked as a defender--
not much got past him
and his speed caught him up
to anyone who tried to give him the slip

Unbelievably,
even though the Raptors only won
one game in the regular season,
they scored enough points to earn 3rd place
in the tournament!

Go Raptors!

Jack really liked working with Coach Nate.
He brought him back to soccer.

We're hoping he'll coach again next year
(Jack even asked him to himself!)
3 hard-working soccer players?
Sounds good to us!
