Just like back “in the old days,” Mom and Dad and all their friends from High School got together to ring in the new year. I hung out for a while, but then I had to go to bed. Anyway, everyone had a good time, but Mom and Dad kept saying something about getting old...everyone was at home in bed by 1am!!! Even I stay up later than that some times!
Mom and Dad and I went to the lake with Grandma and Grandpa the weekend after Christmas for a little relaxation. Dad got to shoot his handgun and his new rifle, Mom hung out with Grandma, and I learned how much fun Grandpa was. Before the weekend was over, I was following him around the cabin--if he went outside, I wanted to go outside, if he went to the porch, I wanted to go to the porch. He also took me for my first trip down The Path (to the lake). It was great! I can’t wait until our next trip!
Aunt Molly (one of Mom and Dad’s friends) gave me this suit for my birthday. Well, I got to put it to good use on Christmas Eve. We had a great holiday with celebrations with just about all of our extended family. It was great to see everyone and meet some of my long-lost cousins. I’m looking forward to next year already--maybe Santa and I will get along better then...
