New Years' Fun

To top off our Staycation,
we went to Stay at our other house--
the cabin!

We lived it up down there too.

We went to Springfield for the day
and checked out Bass Pro.

There were lots of things to look at

All sorts of animals
big and friendly

and not so friendly

 We were THRILLED
that our cousins came down to stay with us too!

We showed them Osceola Cheese Factory

And did a lot of 4-wheeling

We even loaded everyone up
and headed down to the end of the road

It was a bit cold...

but we were excited to set off some lanterns

They apparently don't work very well
when it is below freezing,
so we managed to just get one in the air.

It was fun to watch!

Uncle Adam had to show off a bit

And then of course we ALL wanted a turn!

Austin too!

It was a beautiful night

But COLD!

We kept busy over those few days--
we had to replace a few things that froze
in the extreme cold
(a shower valve and a toilet valve).

And other things kept breaking
(a drain line, a fan)...
Mom is starting to think
the cabin is haunted.

We played a lot of games

Did a lot of playing

and a lot of eating!

Tucker found a new best friend

and worked more on smiling

New Years' Eve
was filled with pyramids

 and fireworks!

Cap it off with getting
both 4 wheelers and the Ranger
stuck in the mud
(don't worry Grandpa,
everything is fine),
and I'd say we had a
whole lotta fun!
2017 is going to be great!

Sleeping is hard

I'm pretty good in my big boy bed.
Since my first day,
I don't get out anymore at bedtime.

Every once in a while,
I get up in the night and
scare Mom and Dad by throwing their door open
and appearing at the side of their bed.

In the morning,
I sometimes get up before anyone else
and surprise my family by appearing
in unexpected places
(like Weston's bunk).

Today, nap seemed to be going well.
But then Mom found me like this?
Can you tell?
I'm curled up on the floor
next to my bed.
Sometimes it's better that way.

Staycation continues...

Another gift from Amanda and Kurt,
today we headed to Main Event
for some bowling and time in the arcade.

Tucker may have been too small to bowl,
but that didn't stop him from trying!

I helped Beckett bowl
with this nifty dinosaur slide

We were a pretty good team!

Wes tried to be Mom's good luck charm...

but her score was still only 3rd best
(way to go Wes with the 2nd place finish!)

Tucker was just in it for the shoes
(he's kind of a shoe guy)

But the highlight of the day
was the all-you-can-play in the arcade
for 3 whole hours
(we only needed 1 1/2)

We played a ton of games,
hit 6 jackpots,
tried out a bunch of new games we'd never played before.
We headed over to the ticket counter
to cash in all our tickets...
only to find out you can't collect tickets
with the all-you-can-play pass.

To say we were crushed would be an understatement

But we did walk away with these cute
rubber ducks.
A bit of a disappointment
but we still had fun today.

Staycation fun!

Mom and Dad both took off this week
so we could have some family fun.

We're going to live it up!

First up...Coco Key!
(Thanks Aunt Mandy and Uncle Kurt
for the tickets!)

Ooooh!  Check it out!

We're a bunch of studs,
lookin' for some water!

Coco Key didn't disappoint!

The Lazy River
is always our favorite

Mom selfie

Jack steered our ship

We did the splashpark too

Wes rocked the lily pads

But look who else mastered them!
I was jumping from one to the next
with ease after a time or two
(I may have done them 10+ times
by the end of the day!)

Check it out!
Tucker went too!

We did the big slides too--
even Beckett love them!
(until the new staff came on and decided
Beckett was suddenly too small...
that didn't go over well)

We had a blast

Splashing

Chillin'
(Tucker even took his
obligatory Lazy River nap!)

Family time is good time

We're are we headed next?

Power wheels for the Bigs

We tend to take over Beckett and Tucker's truck
so GiGi and Grandpa thought
we needed our own Power Wheels this year

Check our our Wild Things

These things ROCK!
