Donut date

I heard Mom and Jack use to have

Donut Dates

when he was at Union Hill

and I was only a baby at Grandma Phyllis's.

Well,

Jack is busy at school,

Beckett is home taking a nap,

so it seemed only right

that we hit up Lamar's

for our own Donut Date.

Mmm.

Definitely a good idea.

Bull bustin'

To say we were impressed with the Professional Bull Riders

Championship Sunday

would be an understatement.

Do you see my boots???

I wanted to look like a REAL cowboy 

I really wanted to MEET a REAL cowboy,

but they were kinda busy.

 Grandpa said wait until we go to Cody, Wyoming this summer.

There will be lots of cowboys there.

Even without a face to face with the stars of the show,

we had a good time

Grandpa taught us a lot about the rules of rodeo

It was a nice way to spend a Sunday!

Beckett and double digits

Whoa!  

There have been some changes this month!

Let's see...

I learned to stand.

You can keep that baby food--

I love to eat table food!

Beans, meat, veggies--

I'll take 'em!

I sit really well

and I can even get myself to a sit if I'm lying down

I help get myself undressed and dress

I play with my brothers

I military crawl FAST...

and then stand myself up again

I'm a better sleeper--

1.5-2 hour naps twice a day

and 10-12 hours overnight (without a wake-up!)

I'm a really happy guy.

Wouldn't you be happy if you were me?

Mom time

Mom took a few days off from work

to spend some quality time with us.

My Mom Day was first.

We had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast,

then hit the mall to buy my

I-graduated-out-of-pull-ups-at-night gift

(I got a monkey and some clothes at Build-a-Bear),

played on the playground,

hit the food court for lunch,

ordered some new shoes,

and still made it home in time for nap.

It was a pretty great day. 

The next day,

all of us ventured to the movies--

The Lego Movie in 3D was a HUGE hit

Neither Jack or I moved or spoke for 90 minutes. 

Monday was Jack's turn.

I tagged along because I was home sick,

but that didn't slow them down.

He made all of his Magic School Bus experiments

from December and January

 We met Dad for lunch,

then saw The Nut Job at the movies.

While B and I napped (with Dad working from home),

Jack talked Mom into a quick trip to Paradise Park.

They did the arcade, 

bumper cars,

and rock wall

I think we crammed about all we could fit

into 4 days!

It was a fun 4 days...

Happy heart day

Mom surprised all of us

by "bugging" us with a few treats
