Being in Canada didn’t keep the Easter Bunny away—
He left us all sorts of treats in a scavenger hunt in our suite this morning!
That was a great way to kick off the day…
Which is going to be EPIC in so many ways.
For Tucker’s birthday,
He got much-wished-for snowboarding lessons.
He’s just a little excited.
Also epic—
This place.
Whoa.
Hundreds of runs,
Gorgeous views,
And pretty decent snow for April.
The Symphony Amphitheater was unlike anything
We’d skied before.
It was just this huge open area
With some runs marked
But so many ways to get through the bowl.
Also epic…
The heat.
We were WAY overdressed for today
And sweat through a lot of layers.
We were stuffing our long underwear into our pockets
And drying the sweat dripping off our noses.
So when we had to head down to get Tucker at 3:00,
We were all ready to get off the slopes.
The snow was getting really slushy
And we were literal hot messes.
Know who wasn’t a hot mess?
Tucker.
He ROCKED his snowboarding lessons.
His coach Connor said he’d never had anyone pick up on boarding so quickly.
And he rocked the style points:
At his drop off, his instructor stopped us because
they were worried about the backpack,
That he had medication or something in it.
Nope—a place for his water bottle and coat.
They liked that.
Style points.
We tromped back to the bus
Lugging our equipment
And stripped off as many layers as we could as soon as we hit the room
Before settling into the Canadian tradition of Apres—
“After” the skiing.
Even better then finally being cooled off today—
Having Apres on the balcony of our room
With the gondola and slopes to stare at.
It was great people watching—

The Black full of slush is a bit tricky
And makes for quite the show.
After listening to the music and crowds for 2 days from the balcony,
We tried out the infamous Dusty’s for dinner
(It was just ok)
Then it was off to the hot tub
so we’d be feeling good for another day of skiing tomorrow.
We’ll sleep good tonight!
