We took a day off from skiing to rest our legs…
But you know us (or at least Mom and Dad)—
That didn’t keep us from hiking!
We slept in,
Got coffee from the little local coffee shop,
And then took off on foot
For Whistler Village.
There was a lovely footpath
With great views of the ski mountains
And this beautiful lake
After a few wrong turns,
We were getting a bit tired
And our footpath became a walk on the busy road’s shoulder…
So we hopped on the bus
(We are becoming real naturals at urban transportation!)
And headed the last 2 miles to the Village.
We shopped
And people watched
And found ourselves another set of Olympic rings
And just because we didn’t ski
Didn’t mean we didn’t Apres!
We found a brewery (of course),
Had some apps and drinks
And learned to play Presidents
Which quickly became the game of the trip.
After a quick shower and change,
We came back to the Village
For what we all agreed was the best meal of the trip—
Italian at Il Caminetto.
It was fancy and delicious.
A bit slower paced
But just as much fun.
