Cruisin' Day 3: Living the ship life

Mom and Dad may have started their day off with
a conditioning class and a run,
but we prefer donuts and special coffee.

Today's agenda is a little more relaxed.
We're out to see on our way to the USVI.

When I say "little more,"
that's pretty literal.
We have a lot to pack in today!
Mom and Mema did poolside Zumba
while the rest of us "danced" (aka watched") from the sidelines.

Then we ran down to join the ship wide scavenger hunt.
We had to find a bunch of different sculptures,
artwork, people and such on the ship.
Who knew my bingo shirt from last trip would be on the list?

We finally got to ride the Abyss
("the fastest route from floor 14 to 5" on
the scavenger hunt list)

That was kinda fun!

We all hit the carousel and the stores on the Boardwalk
while Dad caught a catnap in the sun

Then,
of course,
there was lots of pool time.
We checked out the water slides too--
lots of discussion about which is best
(probably yellow or blue)
and how we all got stuck in them
(especially on green).

Before we knew it,
it was time to get dressed up for dinner.
We we got on our best
and brought out our manners.

As is the tradition,
we told the staff it was Mema's birthday.
It catches her off-guard every time.
"Happy Biirs-day!"

Thea was not having a great night
(missing a good nap!)
so Aunt Mandy took her to bed
and left Cooper in Mom's capable hands.
Which means he got
"super secret ice cream"
(a double portion).
She doesn't let us have extra dessert!

After dinner,
we headed to the the ship's production of Grease.
We all agreed it was waaaay better than Mama Mia
even it it was a lot more risqué than any of the adults remembered.

After his nap
(yep, Pappo slept through the whole thing),
we was feeling revived
and caught up in the music on the Promenade

Since our dive show was canceled due to weather
(and rescheduled smack in the middle of pool time Saturday),
we decided to "sneak" in to watch it tonight.
Not bad seats, huh?
It was called Big Daddy's Hideaway Heist.
We thought the plot needed work
but the diving and trampolining was pretty good.

Before we knew it,
it was time for us to head to bed
and Mom and Dad to hit the casino
with Kurt and Pappo for a nightcap.
Better get rested up!
St. Thomas here we come!
