Tahoe Day 2B: Taking it on rails

Pappo was really excited to take us snowmobiling.
He and Mema and Amanda and Kurt
had all done it before.
After hearing some of their stories,
Mom was pretty nervous about being able to control it.
I teamed up with her on a sled
and although we started a little slow,
we were tearing over the snow (and slush)
like pros in no time!

We peaked at Mount Watson and parked

walked around a bit

and slid down a super fast slide

some a bit more daringly than others
(even Mom and Dad went!)

But what we were really there for...

was the view!

Definitely calls for a family picture!
(minus Mema, Coop and Thea--
they were back home
making cookies and crafts.
Next time!)

It was beautiful
but we were excited to get sledding again.

Were you wondering how we teamed up?
Pappor and Tuck
(who nearly flew off the back a few times!)

Dad and B

Amanda and Jack

Kurt got his own ride

and me and Mom

It was gorgeous up there

but flying through the woods
was really pretty too

Check out the frozen lake!

It was pretty slushy in places
and we actually had to drive over pavement a few times.
Donavan, our guide, said usually they go through Easter
but likely not this year.
Stupid climate change.
We had a blast!
Mom was flying all over the place
and I was holding on for dear life
by the end of the trip!

After our ride,
we had happy hour on the deck

and then took the party downtown
to The Tahoe Tap Haus
and dinner at Za's.
The sunset over the lake

inspired an impromptu dance party
because, why not?

How about that view?
The whole family on vacay.
Nothing better.
