Climbing the walls

We got Pogo Passes for our birthdays

from the Klusmeyers

so today we put them to use at RoKC

to try a little rock climbing

There were some enormous walls.

Be we were undaunted.

Dad took on some hard "routes" or "problems"

as did Mom

On one of them

(not this one),

Mom had to jump to the last hand hold.

She got some cheers from from other Moms below

when she repelled back down

We thought we'd take a break with bouldering

which was a lot of fun

but turns out without a harness and belay,

bouldering was harder than climbing!

Back to the wall!

The 3 oldest had races

up these particular routes

and then had a blast jumping

back down them

And they're back up

They finally let Mom, Dad and I go up too

Long way up!

We thought we'd climb all day

but turns out,

we don't have climbers hands yet.

2 hours was as long as we could go

but that was a really fun 2 hours!
