All right, everyone!
Down that cider
It's time to hit the trails!
Today, we're tackling
the tallest point in Missouri...
so gear up!
And just like that,
we reached 1700 feet
So the "peak" was only a few hundred feet
from the parking lot.
We needed more of a hike than that!
We set off for Mina Sauk Falls
The forest was pretty
Time got away from us a bit this morning
(packing up the camper took a while)
and we realized we didn't have time
to hike all the way to the falls.
So we found a nice spot for lunch...

...and then hiked to the next clearing
and stopped for some
"Rock Push-ups"
I was, of course, the best at them
On the way back,
Jack found a "rainbow"
and we found the turn off for the Ozark Trail
Mom had bragged to everyone at work
about hiking a "17er"
(like the 14ers in Colorado)
so she needed a picture there
Turned out pretty well
Then, sadly,
we hit the road home.
I left a picture in the camper for our new friends
It was a windy, long trip home.
We had dinner in Rolla
and Dad showed us his fraternity house
We made it to Clinton and the camper park
around 8:30 or 9--
in the dark of night.
Dad has MAD SKILLS and backed up the camper
into it's spot like he'd done it a million times.
It was impressive.
We were finally home around 10 or 10:30.
Roundtrip--about 56 hours.
But tons of fun.
We can't wait to do it again!
