Dad and Mom used to camp
pre-kids.
They've talked about it for years.
When Mom's friend Elizabeth
offered up their camper for the weekend,
well,
that was an offer she couldn't refuse!
So pack it up!
We're hitting the road!
Ha!
You can even see the camper
through the back window!
After a rather long drive
full of car games and
Mom's famous surprises
as well as one VERY close encounter
with a deer,
it got later than we had hoped
and we pulled into our campsite
in the dark.
But have no fear,
Dad has serious back-up/parking skills
and it turns out,
fellow campers are very friendly
and happy to help us get settled.
We had our first dinner by headlight
and then geared up
for some serious campfire fun
A little chilly,
but not too shabby!
We had the largest s'mores ever
and did a lot of relaxing
Before we knew it,
it was time for bed.
So we settled into our bunks
and dinette bed
Yep,
all 6 of us
(oh, and Ranger!)
settled in just fine.
Can't wait for tomorrow!
