We have been looking forward
to going to Union Station
to see all the trains
for weeks now!
In our continuing spirit of "something new"
this year,
Grandma bought us tickets to
a laser holiday show
at the planetarium.
So we raced down the stairs
and while we waited
we found this cool puzzle store
(there was an exhibit too...
but we just hung out in the gift shop)
But pretty quick,
into the theater we went
It's about to start!
No pictures allowed in the show...
you'll have to trust us,
it was a bit dizzying
and pretty cool.
Then, it was off to the trains!
Room after room
there was so much to see!
I didn't remember coming last year,
so it was all new to me!
We all thought this part
was particularly funny.
Can you see it?
It's an Amish collection!
The Lego section is so cool
We wandered around for over an hour...
so much fun!
We moved from he miniature trains
to the kid-size train.
I insisted someone come along with me...
Weston is such a good brother!
I was SO EXCITED
Weston was less excited...
we called this shot the
"Train of Shame"
He's such a good sport!
After lunch,
it got even better.
We moved from the kid-size train...
to the REAL train!
All aboard!
This is so cool!
Drinks for everyone!
Mom met us back at the LS station
What a day!!!
We celebrated Pappo's 69th birthday
as a grand finale...
Who knew Pappo wanted
a train birthday party?
