Classing up Christmas

We're trying out some
new Christmas events
this year
to add to our ol' faithful traditions.

Tonight, Mom and Dad
surprised us with a trip to the
Kansas City Symphony
to hear the Holiday Festival.

We clean up pretty well!

We hustled to our seats

and got all settled in

to listen to some lovely
orchestral and choir music
Most of us thought the seats were awesome.
Jack is afraid of heights
and had a few near panic attacks.

We all like the orchestra and the choirs
but the bell choir was
everyone's favorite

I REALLY loved that part

There was a huge sing-a-long
that got everyone up out of their seats

Even Jack got into that

And THEN,
much to our delight,
Santa rode in on a Lime scooter

It was pretty funny

Then Santa directed a song

which REALLY got my attention

It was a great night.
But then,
Mom and Dad
had ANOTHER trick up their sleeves!

We went to The Melting Pot
for some late night cheese and chocolate fondue

It was delish

This might have to be
a new tradition!

We stopped to admire the lights
in a very deserted Plaza
on the way back to the car.
Can you make out Tuck
on the left side of our cluster?
His fun cup was definitely overfull.

Even so,
we all agreed it was an awesome night.
