Grab your money clips
(Good thing we’ve been saving up our allowance)
because it’s time for Downtown Day!
We bought some root beer
And ate 2 foot corn dogs and funnel cake
We were bummed rides would cost about $20
For us all to go,
So we decided to look for some games…
And they were even MORE expensive!
Yikes!
So we settled for a trip through the maze
Which despite our smiles
And surprised faces
Was pretty lackluster.
But we had a good time wandering through tents and shops.
We tried some salsas and chocolate,
Mom and Dad discovered $2 beers,
And Beck and I bought new watch bands
And little crocheted animals
It was a good time!
Topped off with BBQ and beers and Diametric
And then a night on the deck with friends
Followed by an entire day at the pool with friends.
THAT was a good weekend!
