Paragliding take 2.
Mom woke up with butterflies just like before.
But today is different--
our copilots couldn't stop talking about
how perfect the weather is today.
Our flights are a go.
Up the gondola!
Our takeoff spot
Time to walk down...
There was a lot of gear to unpack
and double and triple check
Mom and Dad were worried
Beck or I might chicken out,
but we could not be more excited!
Before we knew it,
Weston took off!
Dad's getting ready
Beck is all loaded up
And he's off!
His co-pilot took a bunch of cool pictures.
We all got a chance to steer and fly
on our own
(well, except Mom--her copilot was rather serious)..
We did some tricks too--
barrel rolls and near 360s
But 15 minutes FLIES (pun intended)
and all too soon,
our rides were over
Here's Mom taking off
A selfie with her copilot--
his name was Wes!
A view from the seat
Before long,
Mema and Pappo took off
and it was just me and Dad left.
And then Dad took off
and soared away
Coming in for a landing!
Making it look easy
Pappo coming in...
Everyone got a little worried about me.
My copilot, Mike, had to go back for his smaller chute.
Turns out, he has 2 kids my age
that he has flown with a lot.
No one needed to be worried.
I wasn't worried.
I was in good hands.
And the best aerial photographer...
Look Mom,
no hands!
It was AWESOME.
No, better than awesome.
Our pilot's license is good for 30 days--
when can we go again???
