Day 6: Magic Kingdom's final hurrah

There are Magic Hours today,
so we got up bright and early
for one last phenomenal day.
We were there at rope drop
so we could RUN
(ok, speed walk)
to Tomorrowland

to ride the epic Space Mountain

We had to hurry though...
we had a breakfast date
with a lot of princesses

Made it!
We were the 5th or 6th ride
of the day!

 Dark, cool and crazy--
just like Mom remembered it!

Our other half
had a calmer entrance to the park

 They did a little shopping

and rode the carousel again

I think they had fun too

We better not keep our dates waiting...

 We're having breakfast
at Cinderella's Royal Table!

It was really pretty inside
the castle

I mean, come on.
How cool is this??

We met Snow White

The girls had their pictures taken
with all the Princesses too...

Aurora
(Sleeping Beauty)

Ariel is Mom's favorite.
She got a kick out of us

I got a little bashful

and Tucker got a little sassy

We settled down for the picture

We caught up with Jasmin again too
(Jack was in the bathroom...again)

Ok, Meemaw!
Finish that sangria!
We've got FastPasses to spend!

One more view from the inside

An awesome start to our last day

Don't be sad, Dad

With our swords in hand,
we're off for adventure!

Wait!
Is that Peter Pan?

He was apparently searching for pirates.
I think he found one in Tucker

Anyway...onward!
Back to Tomorrowland

We hopped on the People Mover

to get a birds-eye view of Tomorrowland

The coolest part was when we went into
Space Mountain.
It happened to be shut down at the moment
so we got to see it with the lights on.
What a rat's nest!
That's exactly what it felt like!

A cool view of the castle too

Next was our first FastPass--Buzz Lightyear

It was like an enormous arcade game
where the more targets you hit,
the higher your score.
Beckett did pretty well with 1200.

By comparison, Mom got around 42,000.

Not sure about these guys

Dad got 14,000

Grandpa?
Something like 80,000.
I got around 1000.
I want a do-over

Next we headed to the Laugh Floor

Mike Wazowski was a pretty hilarious host

Check out the photo-bomber!
See Tuck?

 We also rode
the Carousel of Progress

It was a funny trip into the past.
Rumor has it that it was Walt Disney's favorite ride.

I think we saw all we wanted
in Tomorrowland so

we walked past the castle
(super excited we'd been inside!)

and headed for Adventureland!

FastPass 2--the Jungle Cruise

This was a cheesy ride filled with puns
by our tour guide Amelia
and funny animatronic animals

Not quite as impressive
as the Safari yesterday,
but entertaining all the same

Our final FastPass?
Pirates of the Caribbean

It was a creepy, twisty walk to our boat

and a creepy twisty ride
through pirated islands and ships

The park was pretty crowded at this point
so we decided to walk back to the hotel
to cool off in the pool and rest up for tonight.

Grandpa was thrilled to see Goofy again
in the parade

Look how close we are to the pool!

Cookies at the pool?

Relaxing in the shade?
Yep, this is what we needed.

Mom told us to put on our favorite shirt
of the week
so Meemaw and Grandpa got to break out
their new ones from Ken and Marcia.
Mickey's mad he has to go home.

We're going out in style.
We headed to the Polynesia
for a luau-inspired dinner.
We had to go get our leis

so we could be extra festive

Everyone was feeling pretty good

except Tucker...which is why he's not pictured

That didn't sully our moods

Dinner was delicious
with all sorts of meat on spits
that were sliced at the table.
There was lots of eating with our hands,
so we got warm towels to clean off with

We thought they made pretty good
facial towels

Ahhh!

We had "Cousin" (that's what everyone
in Hawaii calls each other)
take our picture

just as the fireworks started
in the Magic Kingdom
right outside our window

So cool

What a great ending
to a great trip

But wait!
There's a SECOND fireworks show
at the park tonight!
So we hit the monorail

Like the Happily Ever After show,
the Once Upon a Time show
was a combination of projections

and fireworks
It wasn't quite as awe-inspiring as Happily,
but it was still waaaay cool

We needed one more round of pictures

And just like that,
an epic vacation
came to an end

Until next time!
