Friday night with Mom and the boys

The pictures aren't the best quality (off mom's phone), but they tell the story...

Dad is in Miami having a boys weekend,
so just the 3 of us headed to Paradise Park for some
Friday night fun.

It's the first time I have not been asleep in the stroller!

I tried on a construction hat in the building room,
while Jack went to work on his tower.

Next, I took the ice cream truck for a spin,
while Jack explored the tunnels.
We all went in the ball pit for a bit--
I wasn't a fan.

Then, Jack ran the cash register at HyVee,
while I checked out the produce.

Then, after a story,
we headed to the kitchen for a snack.
Is this seat taken?
I watched Jack frost his cookies and marshmellows.

And check out the tie Jack decorated at arts and crafts!

I LOVED the water room!

And what trip is complete without a little time in the train room?
Our neighbors Maggie and Conner even came up to play for a bit!

The evening was a success.
Mom and the boys take on the town!

FINALLY!!!!

Mom said that when she was off-service,
we could do fun stuff.
So everyday for the last several weeks,
I've asked if she was off-service and we could do fun stuff.
I really wanted to visit her at work.
Well, guess what?
TODAY I DID!!!

We started out with breakfast in the cafeteria.
Then a trip to the train room.
A few minutes coloring in her office.
But then,
we did the most exciting thing yet...

Here I am waiting.
Do you know where we are?
(Hint, the sign behind me gives it away)

ON THE HELIPAD!!!
TO SEE THE HELICOPTER!!!

I got to climb in the back and see where the sick kids and babies ride...

...And sit in the cockpit where John, the pilot, flies!
He offered to let me wear the helmet too,
but I was a bit overwhelmed.
Too cool! Thanks Mom and John!

It pays to know people in high places!

The end of an era...finally!!!

From Mom:

My pumping days are over!!! I'm calling it quits after 10.5 months of pumping--and we even have 3 months' worth still in the freezer.

It's been a long road (just ask Aaron), but it's been worth it for Weston!

I may even miss my friend Daisy (that would be my pump). Or maybe not.

Date Night

Mom and Dad made a resolution to go on Date Night once a month.
Last month they had breakfast and pedicures.
This month they took on Valentine's Day.

Dinner at Skies.
What a nice 16th Valentine's Day together!

On the prowl

Check out these shirts Mom and Dad got us at
the MU game!
GRRRRR!

Wild hair

What? What's wrong with my hair?
I like it!

Happy Love Day!

What better to eat on Valentine's Day
than heart pancakes???
Mom and I made them together
Add some whipped cream and red sprinkles...
DELICIOUS!

MIZ!!!

Mom and Dad made the annual trip to MU for a basketball game
while Weston and I stayed with Grandma Phyllis and Papa Kim.
We had a great time,
and so did Mom and Dad...

Everyone loaded into the van.
They fit nicely...
...with Pat in the trunk!
Mom and Dad,
enjoying some adult time tailgating from the van
The seats were a bit high, but it was still a nice view!
And even better since they beat OU!!!

Everyone hung out for some beers after the game
The girls

Add in some CJ's wings, Shakespears pizza, and a whole lotta beer,
and a great time was had by all!
Can't wait till next year!

Post call

We miss Mama when she works at the hospital overnight.
It's nice to get some mama-and-boys time!

The Fort

How cool is this???
There's plenty of room inside!
Come on in!

What to do on a snow day?

Preschool was closed today
(the snow was too deep in the parking lot for cars to get in),
so we played at home.
What kind of crafts are good on a snow day?

Coloring, stickers,
and of course, snowflakes!
Mine are the two on the left.
I used the scissors for them and everything!

Playing with trucks

I'm pretty good at playing by myself.
Especially when I have a fun toy.

I'm pretty cute when I'm playing trucks too.

Wanna play?

Blizzard '11!

Most of the midwest was hit with a blizzard over the last few days!
We got over 10 inches of snow!
Mama's hospital even went into emergency mode and people had to stay on duty for 48 hours until everything was over and people could drive on the roads again!
Luckily, Mama traded a call and got to just stay home with us.
We made the most of our time at home.

Of course, we had to go out in it!

Here's big brother, all ready to go.
Daddy went out with him.
I stayed inside with Mama.
Jack got his sled ready...
...then they trooped into the yard together to try it out.
I really wanted to go too!
No pictures, please! I don't want my sadness on film.
They made snowballs...
...and sledded around the yard.
Next year, right? Promise?
