We were up bright and early,
Hit breakfast in Surfside,
And ran off the boar at rope drop…
We have slides to get to!
We were in line for the tallest side in the Caribbean…
But then decided in the time we wait for that one,
We could probably ride everything else on the island.
And we just about rode them all—
The mat racers,
The tubes,
The drop slides
The body slides.
We’ll circle back around to
Daredevil’s Peak later.

We took one in 2024
And 2022
We met up with the rest of the family in the cabana
And then decided to headed to someplace we hadn’t been before—
South Beach!
It was a lot of fun with a huge sand bar to chill on
…until a storm blew up
It got pretty iffy there…
There was a LOT of rain
And a bit of lightning
And it shut down the island for a bit.
We played soccer billiards
And ping pong
And waiting the storm out
Because then the sun came back out,
The pools reopened
And we had the island practically to ourselves!
Plenty to smile about!
Cooper did some excellent food and beverage running
For the group
And then the 8 Adventures
(us and Kurt and Coop)
Headed back to the slides,
Racing on the mats
and even taking on a billion stairs
To do Daredevil’s Peak
(It was Cooper’s first time!)
Back on the ship,
It was Caribbean Night—
Which we interpreted as crazy Hawaiian shirt night
Don’t we look awesome??
No big shows on the agenda tonight
So we hit up the carousel
And the Silent Dance Party
Thea was living her best life!
We hit the arcade
Did some more dancing
(Well, mostly Mom and Dad)
Got our first taste of jazz
And played our first round of mini golf
We were exhausted.
Time to turn in…
And there was a friend waiting in our room!
Tomorrow is a sea day—
We could use a rest!
