Mom's a little behind on the blog
(summer has been really busy!)
so rather than a week-by-week play-by-play,
here's a little summary.
Jackson has had a great season.
He has set PRs in everything he's swam!
50 free: down 1.5 seconds to 32.76 (dropped time EVERY meet)
50 back: down 2.3 seconds to 39.69
50 breast: down 1.1 seconds to 46.51
He's also done a great job on his relays,
often leaving them the lead after swimming the first leg.
Weston has had a good season too.
50 free has been a bit up and down meet to meet
but overall down to 38.43 for the season.
50 back has been similar with his fastest time
our first meet at 47.47.
50 breast he dropped 2.2 seconds to 52.87
His backstroke start is pretty epic.
He also got to swim IM again,
dropped 7 second from last year
coming in at 1:43.71.
Beckett has done well
but being the younger one in the age group this year
has made ribbons harder to come by.
He's rocked his relays,
typically swimming anchor
and bringing them back in multiple meets
In his individual events he's done well overall.
25 free: PR 17.24--but that's calculated (the pool was a different length)
so we're going with 18.47, down 1.8 seconds from last year
25 back: 23.78, down 0.4 seconds for the season
25 breast: 24.50, down 1.2 seconds for the season
25 fly: 31.12, down 1.3 seconds from last year
And me?
I've improved leaps and bounds (or kicks and strokes?)
this season.
25 free, PR 28.13 down 1.7 seconds for the season
and earning a few 1st in my heat ribbons
25 back 36.13, down over 8 seconds for the season!
I only swam breast once but cut 10 seconds from last year.
And I found a new love for 25 fly.
It took me a few attempts to swim in legally
but once I got it down, my time is 38.38
And I'm on every relay, every meet
Mema and Grandma Phyllis came to a few meets
(sorry Grandma P, we didn't get a picture!)
It's been a great season!
Mom and Dad have even decided
Jackson should swim in high school
(he's sorta on board)
and Weston is determined to workout and swim
in the off-season so he can move to the upper ranks
of his age group.
We're psyched for championships!
