Continuing on the Christmas fun,
we decided to take advantage of the nice weather
and check out Powell Garden's luminary walk
It was really pretty
There were lights everywhere
We really liked the "willow" effect
and a lot of our summer favorites
looked pretty cool in the winter too.
Magical!
The view from the silo was especially cool
Everyone say cheese!
We were a bit cold by this point,
so we pause to make a few crafts
We stopped in to say "hi" to Santa,
but then Tucker got cold feet
so we found a different spot for a picture
But then Tucker changed his mind again,
so we headed back in to say "hello"
(Tucker from a safe, protected distance
with Mom)
The night had gone pretty well...
until the ride home.
After some brotherly fighting
followed by Mom shutting off the Christmas tunes,
a pair of deer jumped out in front of the van.
Dad deftly swerved around the doe,
but the 6-point buck wasn't so lucky
(although he practically ran into us!).
Airbags exploded
and the driver's side of the van is...well...beat-up.
The traffic was too heavy for a close-up,
but he's over there,
on the other side of the road.
BUT--
we are all fine,
other than a little shook up.
Boo.
We're pretty sure we're headed for a new van.
