Turkey warm-up

Who needs Thanksgiving turkey
when you can have
Thanksgiving spaghetti?
That makes more sense when
your family is Italian.

And we need cake.
Lots of cake.
"Tastes like diabetes" Cole said...
we thought that was hilarious.

On the way home,
we stumbled across a Christmas lights show.
We HAD to stop.

Always cool!

Getting into the spirit

Tonight we headed to downtown LS
for the annual Mayor's Christmas Tree lighting.
It was festive!

Ta-da!

Group shot

All this joy and cheer
is putting us in good moods

So good,
we'll get together
for a PJ picture

Gotta love
matching Christmas PJs!

No filter

Hiking makes us happy.
We checked out the Unity Village
nature trail today
for our weekend dose of happy.

There was this cool natural bridge

and a cool not-so-natural bridge

Some of us did not enjoy the hills
(see Tuck...)

but we did all enjoy being
together outside

Ahhh!

Happy.

Cuteness

Whether we are reading
in the bathtub

trying on new dapper clothes

or dressing like triplets
The adorableness is real.

Howling Huskies take the ice

I was really pumped
to sing the National Anthem
at the Mavericks game
with my choir tonight

Look!
There we are on the big screen!

and on that one too!

Mom wanted a selfie with the star

Yep,
my fan club turned out in droves

Whirlwind

It's been way too long
since we were at the cabin.
Mom had to work tonight
so we had a Boys Night
down at the cabin.

We didn't know there was a dartboard!??!

Everyone took a turn

We needed new gravel
for the driveways and our new fire pit
and around the cabin...
this is what Mom saw when she pulled up
the next morning
We made a whole playhouse out of this pile!
(there was another one just as big next to it
we were saving for tomorrow...)

We often work just as hard
as we play at the cabin.
Today was one of those days.
There were a LOT of leaves to rake

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Check out our pile!
We had 2 this size!

Mom and Dad forgot to take a before and after
but that big pile of gravel?
Yep, we moved one of the two piles
by hand all over the cabin.

And now,
we settle in around our newly
rocked-in fire pit
to celebrate

Nightmode

and selfie-style

Sunday brought a bit more shoveling

and finally some real playing

Tuck's dressed for adventure

Ranger was glad for a romp

We headed to the end of the road
and played in the sand.
I "heart" Mom

and Weston...well, he wrote his name
about as big as you can imagine

We put what is left of the gravel pile
to another good use...

Even Dad (and Mom) took a turn

Ahhh!
We needed this!

Back to the OR

See my hernia?
It squeezes back in really easily,
but it just won't stay in.
People are starting to notice it.
It shows through my clothes.
Mom and Dad decided it was time
to get it fixed.

So Mom talked to her
surgeon friend Dr. Jason
and we headed to Children's Mercy
early this morning to get it done.

They distracted me with a lot of screens...

and as I got nervous,
I started to just pay attention to those
and ignore everyone else...

I refused to get undressed.

Despite Dad's best efforts

Maybe I thought if I kept my boots on,
it wouldn't happen.
But eventually,
they got the boots off...

It didn't take very long--
about a half hour.
There was a bump in the beginning
when the anesthesiologist noticed my weight was wrong.
Good catch, Dr. Pflumm!
It was smooth sailing after that.

All patched up!

But oh,
that anesthetic made me sleeeeeepy.
I'd start to eat or say something
and fall asleep in the middle

A recovery afternoon on the couch
with Mom and Dad was just what I needed

The toy from Mema
and balloons and cookies from Aunt Mandy
didn't hurt either

Look!
Dr. Jason does good work.
My modeling career is back on track.
