One last thing on the list

We came out to Powell Gardens to see the dinosaurs,
but we got to see a bonus butterfly exhibit too!

This one is an owl eye
(or something like that).
Do you see it?

They were cool.
And EVERYWHERE!

Look at all the chrysalises!

Butterflies are cool,
but we were here for DINOS!

Let's get out there!

The garden did not disappoint

We had a good time
checking out the plants,

tromping around the grounds,

following our maps

and discovering all the dinosaurs!
This is hypsibema,
the Missouri dinosaur.
Cool, huh?

Ok, the dinos were cool.
But the dino dig and fort
were probably the best part of the day

There were a lot of things to crawl on
and crawl through

See?

Told you it was cool

Dino photo!

Monkey see,
monkey do

That was fun!

We just about completed the Bucket List--
only a Royals game
and eating the fish we catch
are left.

Good thing we checked a few more off...
guess what starts Wednesday...

Milk for all

Ok, this may be weird.
But it's worth documenting.

Mom did some math
and figured out she had 1500 ounces of milk in storage
when she stopped pumping.
Whoa.

5 months later,
we were down to 800 ounces.

As slow as Tucker is drinking it,
it is going to expire before he gets through it.
So what do you do?

She called the local milk bank,
but there were a lot of hoops to jump through.

So she decided to send it to a friend in need
in California.

600 ounces
for a tiny baby on the other side of the country.
Kinda weird.
Kinda cool.

Another check off the Bucket List

The weather was too good not to get outside!
And we haven't been to the zoo as a family this year!

The penguins were a crowd pleaser

And the elephants were on my list

But we were REALLY excited to ride
the Sky Safari.
It was Mom's first time

We saw elands
and ostriches

Can you see the giraffe in the shadows?

Hey look!
Mom and me on the left,
Jack and Wes on the right

And Dad and Tuck below

We spent some time
having a snack with the giraffe

And said hello to the rhino

Tuck took a nap on the go
(and so did Wes!)

The last stop of the day
was Jack's request--
a ride on the train

Waiting patiently

Tucker tried to stand up,
but I told him to "sit down right now!"
And so he did.

The whole fam!

It was a fun day!

Worlds of FUN!!!

We nearly missed it--
we were suppose to go next Monday,
but Mom discovered at the last minute
THEY AREN'T OPEN!

It would have been ugly.

But we made it!

And guess what?
I'm tall enough to go on roller coasters this year!

My first was Spinning Dragons

Then the Detonator

We took a break and went to "Snoopyland"

This was a cool new ride!

GiGi and Beck
tried out the new airplanes

Jack thought they were pretty good

They whip you around the corner!

Hold on!

Mom and Jack and I rode the Linus Launcher--
this fun ride you have to do on your belly

A stop on the train

Then me, Jack, Dad, and GiGi
went back to the Detonator.

So Mom and Beck had some time
for more Snoopyland fun.

The mini-Detonator
was a favorite

And the boats, of course!

Pause for a family picture

Somebody wasn't in the mood

Back to the coasters!

We drug Jack on the Mamba...
twice

A quick snack
before Mom and I did
the Boomerang

Did I mention it was SO HOT??!?!?!

So we wandered over to Oceans of Fun
for the first time

It was awesome

We tried to top off the day with one last coaster--
the Prowler.
But, somehow I shrank
and was no longer tall enough on either of their measuring sticks.
There was a lot of crying.

So I settled for the Finish Fling and the Scrambler.
And one more trip on the Spinning Dragons.
almost 8 hours at Worlds of Fun.
It was so awesome.
