Dinner with the Longs

Shane, Kelly, and Cooper came over this evening

after a quick trip to the plant store (more on that later...)

Cooper hung out in his makeshift cabana while we ate on the deck

Then my new batting coach (that would be Shane) and I took to the field for some batting practice.

I'm getting pretty good!

It must be the expert coaching!

Night Flight!

For the last 2 years,

the Dads (and Brad) have run Night Flight while the Moms stayed home.

Not this year!

Everyone ran the 5K!

And it went well!

Who doesn't like to run through downtown LS in the dark?

Fireworks Fridays

Tonight we headed back to the K for some more Royals fun.

And thanks to Mike...



...our seats were MUCH better!




We had hotdogs and pop for a buck and got to check out all the outfield fun for kids too...

...and I was sooooooo excited for the fireworks!!!



That is, until they started. Wes sat in Mom's lap yelling "oooooo!"

I sat in Dad's lap whimpering.

Hmmmm. Guess we'll see how 4th of July goes...

Fun with the Thomas boys

Mom got Friday off since she works all weekend, so we got to play hooky from preschool to have some fun!

Sprinklers and water guns with
Fisher and Owen fit the bill!

Owen and I tried to team up against Fisher...



...but Fisher was really good at water guns all by himself!



It was really fun!



Even Wes had a good time...

Dad's big project continues...

For the last month, every free moment on the weekend, Dad has been slaving away on the built in grill.

It looks AWESOME!








Dad does some great work, but it is taking way long than expected. We kinda miss having him around and he kinda misses us, so he's going to hire someone to finish it up.

It will be nice to have our Dad back!

Mama's birthday take 3...

We went to Grandma Janice's for Grandpa Mike's world famous catfish for Mama's third birthday dinner. And it was de-lish!!!

After dinner, we headed outside to fly a kite Grandma bought.



But despite Amanda's, Grandma's and Mom's best attempts, the wind wasn't quite enough to keep it in the air...



So, we headed inside for PINK PIE!!!



It was also de-lish!

Boy were we excited to see him again!!!

But, even with all the good music and room to dance,

the evening dissolved into a free-for-all.

We were listening while running through the field, right?

Mom thought I looked like Linus.

A lot of fun was still had.

Even if we weren't just sitting and listening to Mr. Stinky Feet.

We'll just sit next year, right Mom?
