Hotdogs and candy

The night we've waited for is finally here...
Hotdog Derby, unite!

Grandpa and Grandma came over for the fun!

The obligatory front porch picture

Ok, now that that's done,
let's get moving!

Jack was a bit of a chauffeur

We were polite and said lots of thank yous

And went to a ton of houses

I got a little tired and cold towards the end,
but all in all,
it was a good time
with good company

We even went to 3 haunted houses!
This one was the finale...

We finished off the night
laughing at Jack has he tried to catch Grandpa
who had swiped his candy bag.
Jack is pretty fast,
but Grandpa is faster!

Another good haul!

Makes you just want to roll around in it.
Hope your Halloween was just as awesome!

Indoor ball

My team decided to keep up our skills over the winter
and join an indoor league.

The games move a lot faster,
the ball moves a lot faster,
there are only 4 of us on the field at a time,
and we play on weeknights.
It's a whole other world...

Get out the knives!

Are we excited to carve pumpkins?

You bet we are!

Deep in concentration...
and pumpkin guts

They turned out pretty cool!

Even better in the dark!

Big B at 18 months

I'm getting so big.
Lucky for Mom, Grandma P is really good at documenting it.

I love to help Papa

And anything outside is a hit

No baby park for me!

Everyone else is on the big equipment;
why would I not be?

Love me some swings!

Papa is teaching me to climb trees

And I can do the Play-doh stuff by myself,
thank you very much.
And did I mention I'm talking more now?
Water, milk, more, Jacker, Wes, snack...
seems like a few more words every day!

We've been BOOED!

We were a little sad
since it was so close to Halloween
and the annual Legacy Wood Boo hadn't happened.
BUT!
We got booed on Sunday!

We were really excited to return the favor
and spread the fun!

We packed some boo bags,
donned our scary faces

and hit the neighborhood!
Mom thought it was hilarious
to watch us crawl through people's yards
and then drop the bag, ring the bell
and run.
She kept the van running--our get-away car!

LOOK OUT!
THEY ARE COMING!
Always a favorite part of Halloween.

Boo at the zoo

We were getting some good use
out of our costumes this year!

This weekend:
Boo at the Zoo

As usual,
I was THRILLED to put on my hotdog
and don my treat bag

Mika and Ethan joined us too

We saw the penguins

Did some trick-or-treating

Got some pretty cool stuff!

Has some snacks,
saw some animal bones (did you know a giraffe vertebrae
is over a foot long???),
climbed a tree...

But the biggest hit of the day...
the carousel!!!

Happy belated birthday, Dad!

We had a mini-celebration in Albuquerque
with yellow cake and chocolate icing
on Dad's real birthday.
Tonight we wanted to do it up right--
we celebrated with Papa Kim and Grandma P
with Mexican and more cake.

Dad requested German chocolate.
Jack thought it looked like someone threw up
on a perfectly good chocolate cake
(guess he's not a coconut fan)

Us boys scraped off the icing and enjoyed it anyway.

Did we mention there was a Royals game on?
Another reason to celebrate!
Happy 36, Dad!

Neighborhood campout 2014

Who would have thought
when we decided to have our
neighborhood campout in October,
it would be 80 degrees???

It was an awesome day for jumping with friends

in the huge bounce house

We also blew up a pop with Mentos
(don't worry, the city let us block off the street for the party)

We had pizza and pop,
glow stick games,
a popcorn bar,
and outdoor movies

And of course,
there was camping!

Mom and Dad chickened out this year
and we all slept inside for the first time ever.

That didn't stop me from sleeping in a tent!

Wake me up when we are headed back out
for donuts and juice!

Halloween Prep

We had some crafts to do before Halloween.

We made this spooky-cool house
Grandma Phyllis gave us to work on

We even signed it

It looks pretty great!

We also made some pictures and creatures
for the front door.
We drew all over the glass with window markers,
but they melted and ran with the first cold day and condensation.
That was a bummer

And of course we broke out our best
Halloween PJ's!
Fall is fun!
