Birthday Parties

Today we had not one,
but TWO birthday parties to go to!!!

First, we headed to the Belton Community Center for Kayla's.

After some munchies, cookies, and presents,
we hit the pool for some fun!

I LOVED this slide!!!

Look out below!

Splash down!

The birthday girl,
pretty in her pink tutu suit

Come on, guys.
Let's go check out the rest of this place!

There was a lazy river that was a lot of fun.
They had water slides too.
Kayla and I really wanted to go,
but we were too little.
Austin love it.
Jack was a bit too scared to try it out.

Here's Daddy, Uncle Adam, me, Kayla, Jack, and Grandma...
 Everyone had a great time!!!
Happy #3 Kayla!

After a heavy 3 hour nap,
we headed for party #2 at "Papa Janice's" house.

It's "Aunt Meena's" birthday too!!!

After some tasty catfish cooked up by Papa,
we headed downstairs for some minigolf.

If you stick out your tongue,
it goes in better

Jack was really good!

And of course,
what's a birthday without...
CAKE!

Aunt Mandy let us help her blow out the candles

And lick them off
It was a great ending to a great day.
Happy birthday to two of our favorite ladies!

Boys' weekend

Mom was out of town this weekend in Orlando
at a board review class for her big Neonatology test
at the end of March...
She was in Disney World!!!
(That's her friend Candy.  They did fellowship together)

She didn't get to do anything fun.
She just sat in a room
and listened to lecture for 12 hours a day for 5 days.
Boring.

We had way more fun.
We went out for chicken wings.
Dad tried to get us to Hooters,
but I wanted to stick with the tried-and-true
Buffalo Wild Wings.
We topped of that night with a sucker for dessert.

Saturday we went to Mika's birthday party.

Check out her mini-trampoline!!!

Sunday we went to the park to fly our new kite

I even got to hold the string by myself!
Wes tried too, but he dropped it and we had to chase it down.

Then we played a bit of soccer
on the REAL soccer fields!

It's been a fun filled couple of days,
but Mom, when are you coming back?!?!??

TRAINS!!!

We heard there was a train show going on today,
so we packed up the van to check it out.

After an entertaining ride full of stickers...

We arrived...
and saw all the TRAINS!!!

It was mostly lots of model trains you could buy,
with some Thomas and Chuggingtons thrown in.

But there were several trains set up to watch

Weston had to get a bit higher for a better view

There were some other things too,
like a model carnival with moving rides,

and a train you could RIDE ON!

I wasn't too sure about riding by myself though
(Wes was too small)
Perhaps not worth the $21 we spent to park and go in,
but an enjoyable morning none the less.

Snow Men

We finally got some snow this year.
We were soooo excited to finally try out our snow pants

I was too little last year...
This is my FIRST TIME to go out!!!

Three men,
ready to face the elements

The snow did not disappoint.

First we went for a slow ride on the sled...

You won't find 2 happier boys!

Then Dad took us for a FASTER ride on the sled...
I think the joy on my face says it all

I did a bit of hiking in my boots

Jack was pretty agile--
 he could even run

Then we headed to the playgym for some sliding

The progression is the best.
Coming...

 down...

now!

I was not about to miss out.
Going...

down...

hard!

We had a snowball fight

And even made a great, big snowman!

Definitely a successful first snow!
Can we go again tomorrow???

Well, welcome to the Reeds' Houses of Fun!

There is a cardboard rocket for coloring and stickers

And a blanket tent...

for snacks and books!

Horsing around

Giddy-up, Daddy!

This is pretty fun...

but where's Mom suppose to sit?

Jackism

Jack:  Where is my cage?
Mom and Dad (highly confused):  What cage?
Jack:  My cage like Weston has.  In his room.  Where is my cage from when I was a baby?
Dad:  You mean your crib???!?!
Jack:  Yeah, the crib...

Guess I never really thought of it like that... :)

Dad's dream-come-true!!!

Dad drove all the way to Indiana and back yesterday for very special pick-up...
OUR BOAT!!!

It's finally here!!!

Wes took it for a test drive

Well, we all needed a turn taking a test drive

This boat is pretty great, Dad...

But when do we actually get to go boating???
Hmmm.
We should have thought of that before we bought a boat in February.
The summer countdown begins...
