The unofficial start of summer!

It's Memorial Day weekend.
Do you know what that means?
LAKE TIME!

We had some fun inside when there were some sprinkles...

But the sprinkles were pretty
few and far between.
That meant plenty of
outdoor fun!

I look Reid for his first 4 wheeler ride

And Beckett for his first too

We hung out with Alice and Megan

Beck was pretty entranced

But did lots of good boy things too
like peeing off the deck

and drinking beer
(ok, not really)

We even made it onto the water!

Alice didn't swim

but Tuck did

It was nice to see Jerry
(the big blue mat)
again

Lake livin';
Doesn't get much better than this!

All this fun can really wear a boy

or two out

After a good night's sleep
we were up BRIGHT and EARLY to do it all again!

Dad had lots of projects this weekend--
he attempted to change the water heater element
(it was cemented in, despite hundreds of pounds of torque);
he attempted to make the breakfast bar
(which twisted and warped on him);
and he attempted for the 12th time to get the master toilet to work
(Tuck supervised...but it still doesn't work).
It was slightly frustrating and disappointing.
Well, there's always next visit...

Time with family and time on the water?
I'd say that's a successful trip.

Brothers

Just some good ol' hanging out time...

Mom pulling us in the wagon

The Littles on the computer

A glow-in-the-dark bath
You know,
just chillin' with the homies

Godfather's graduation

Cousin Jake,
also known as our summer chauffeur,
also know as Tucker's Godfather,
graduated from high school this year.

There was a party full of food and cake.

Our favorite part?
The cows.
They just kept staring at us!
Congrats, Jake!

The rocket derby

We missed it last year,
but we were definitely in it this year!

The Cub Scouts' Rocket Derby was back!

I was so excited to shoot mine!

My brothers were excited about the food...

And it's off!

Definitely one of the coolest parts
of being a Cub Scout!

Field day

Do you know what the end of the year brings?
Field day.
A whole afternoon of games and popsicles.

My favorite game was Star Wars--
a twist on dodge ball

It may have been my favorite because
Mom was parent helper...

Jackson's favorite?
He wasn't sure...

Taking a selfie with Mom was
NOT a favorite.
She is so embarrassing.
1 1/2 days left???
Sheesh.

Beckett's first field trip

Grammy J joined Ms. Angela's class today
for my very first field trip.

I couldn't have been more excited.

We went to the zoo!

We saw all sorts of animals...

Up close to the penguins

This monkey charged us...
a little TOO close!

There were lots of photo ops...

And the playground is ALWAYS a favorite

I'd say my friends and I had a good time!
Thanks, Grammy J!

Goodbye soccer, hello baseball!

Grandma P, Papa K, my brothers, and Dad
all gathered one last morning
for my last soccer game of the season
(Mom was so sad to have to work)

I made this game
one of my best!

A couple of goals,
some great footwork...
I'm becoming a soccer stud!

Ninjas ROCK!

But wait!
Don't be sad!
We have BASEBALL
this afternoon!

Most of the same kids...
different uniform...

My favorite position?
Catcher.
You ALWAYS get to touch the ball this way!

Quit distracting me!

Lookin' good

I've decided I like baseball
even better than soccer.
I LOVE to hit.
And this year is coach pitch.
Much cooler.

I got one real hit
and one tee hit my first game...

2 REAL hits my second game!

In my second game
I played center field and third base.
I made some really nice plays
and showed some REAL hustle.

Coach Matt noticed.

I was awarded the Game Ball!
I'm loving this.
