The best surprise EVER

Mom and Dad have been talking about
this "surprise" for a while.

They picked us all up from school early,
threw us in the car,
and started driving.

Guess where we ended up?
T-REX!!!
The most fun restaurant EVER!

We were stoked.

We explored the restaurant,
had some dinner,
got some goofy hats

Yep, even B

And what's T-Rex without the
mega brownie with ice cream and
dry ice volcano???

That was awesome.
But then,
as we were driving "home,"
we started talking about how we wondered if Great Wolf Lodge
(which we were driving past)
had any restaurants.
Dad suddenly turned in and said
"Let's find out."

I was embarrassed that he was really going to go inside and ask
(yes, I'm already embarrassed of my parents).
They he and Mom said we could ask after we checked into our room.
Our room?
Our ROOM?
OUR ROOM!!?!!

I'm not sure you've ever seen
2 boys more excited.

Let's do this!

It is Beckett's first time
(well, first time here not in Mom's stomach),
and we were more than happy to show him the ropes

Everyone must have their wolf ears

And then we can hit the pool!

Do-ta-do,
just standing here,
minding our own business...

Awesome

I think Beckett is having a good time

Yep, I'm sure of it

Weston worked on his swimming

B and Mom relaxed in the lazy river
(I think he fell asleep at one point)

Weston joined them
while Dad and I hit the water slides

Lots of jumping

And hanging out

The hot tub was probably the favorite pool

Beckett found his inner fish--
he floated and swam,
back and forth,
jumped in off the ledge,
swam back to the wall--
it was amazing

Could this night get any better?

We stopped by the clock tower
for Story Time

Beckett got a big kick out of the talking puppets

Then it was off to bed in our tent bunkbeds

Who needs 3 beds?
We can all share one!

The next morning,
we had some breakfast

paused for a picture or two

and went right back to the pool!

Beckett didn't lose his swimming abilities overnight!

He even tested out the water slides

He's hooked now!

We all had a blast on the waterslides
(except poor Mom--
they won't let pregnant ladies on them).

We also loved the lily pads and logs.
I almost made it across

Spry Weston did it!

We finished up the trip with a visit to the arcade.
I won 200 tickets.
We thought that was a lot
until Weston hit the jackpot and won 1000!!!

We have the best parents in the whole wide world
(at least for today).
Ok,
I think we are ready to be Reed Family of 6 now!

The big swim test

The final swim lesson has arrived!

The moment of truth...
will we move to the next level?

I needed a little help with my float,
and I couldn't make it all the way down the pool without help

But Jack could!

A celebratory slide is in order!
I'll do one more round as a Penguin
(it was my first time in Level II)
and Jack moves on to Seals...
we're becoming genuine fish!

Jack's calling?

It would be an understatement
that I LOVE my horseback riding lessons.

I think it's the best birthday present ever.

Not only can I tack my own horse...

but I'm riding solo as well!

Me and Cash,
taking on the horse world!

Sprinkling baby #4

We are so excited
another brother is on the way!
This calls for a PARTY!

We decorated the house,
ordered some bar-b-que,
and called up our 40 closest friends!

Let's see...
Kylie, Amanda, Papa Kim

Kipp, Dad

All the Christians
(even Harper!)

Adam and Michelle
(Austin and Kayla are here somewhere...)

Rachel, Shane, Mike, Amber, Mika, Ethan,
Joel, Molly, Sally, Brad

Josh, Annika, Soren

Megan, Reid (and Tim)

Who else?
Grandma Phyllis, Olli,
and a few who couldn't make it
(Grandma and Grandpa Woods, both Great Grandpas,
Zugelters...)

We felt the love!
Thanks everyone!
Can't wait to share our littlest Reed with you!

Second time's the charm

After a few months practice
in a cot at preschool,
it was time to take the front off my crib again.

Guess what?
I haven't gotten out yet!
Now, if I could just get my
pesky brother out of here...

More odds and ends

A few pics to share...

The boys, snuggling for a bedtime story

Beck is pretty sure
anything Weston can do,
he can do too
(including legos designed for 8 year olds and up!)

And speaking of anything Weston can do...
Who doesn't love climbing a gravel pile???

Weston, Mika, and Beck--
rulers of the pile!

A man and his horse

I got horseback riding lessons for my birthday.
I'm not really sure why I need them.
Like I told Mom and Dad,
I know how to ride a horse--
I've done it tandem with Mom in Wyoming
and tandem with Grandpa Mike in Albuquerque.
Expert, right?
What else do I need to know?
But Mom said if I want to ride solo this year in Wyoming,
I need a bit more experience.
So here I am.

Me and Cash,
learning "the ropes" of horsemanship...
