Reeds on wheels

Jack and I went skating at Landmark on Tuesday.
Beckett and I went "rolling" at Landmark today!

Our Parents as Teachers group rented it out all morning--
we got to bring our cars and scooters for some inside racing!

Guess who else came?
Grandma Phyllis!
We have sure been missing her!

I got to play with my friend Mack,
run free and wild,
and work on my scooter skills

But my favorite part?
Taking my brother for a ride!

Odds and ends

A few pictures
too good not to post:

Beckett and his morning routine
(gotta love chapstick)

Jackson, helping Dad shovel snow

Jackson at his Valentine's Party
("I'll do ONE picture, Mom")

Everybody loves a Red Robin balloon

All 3 of us,
hitching a ride on Dad
Imagine the fun we'll have with 4...

Reeds on skates

Who want to go to D.A.R.E. skate night?
We do!  We do!

It's been a while since we were on skates,
but it came back

I'm getting pretty good at this--
I only fell a handful of times

Definitely worth the trip!

Ready for Valentine's Day

 We're ready for our friends!

Jack and Dad made a Valentine's spider box--
you have to reach through the webs to put the cards in the slot.
Me and Mom made a fishtank--
the cards go behind the "glass."
Now we just need some cards and candy!

Swim lessons x3

It's that time of the year again...
(indoor) swim season!

Jack and Wes are in the same class this year

And I get to swim this year too!

Quality time with Daddy!

Weston is getting pretty good at his floats

Swimming is fun,
but we all get pretty cold by the end

Cheese from Wes!

Cheese from Jack!

We're all having a pretty great time!

Winter Cabin fun

Just because it's winter,
doesn't mean we aren't excited to head to the lake!

We kicked off the weekend
with a game of Headbanz with Aunt Mandy

I live in the zoo?

Beck was thrilled to be one of the gang

Grandpa took us out for a ride in the Ranger the next day...
and I got to DRIVE!

Hang on, boys.
I've got this!

There was a lot of 4 wheeling--
Mom and Beckett

Mandy and me

Jack

Cousin Reid brought his truck down.
I offered to teach him to drive
(it's kinda my specialty)

Cruisin' for chicks

I must have taught him well
because he and Beckett hit the road solo
shortly after

Until they got stuck...

The BIG hit of the weekend
was the zip line Grandma Phyllis and Papa Kim
got us for Christmas!

Weeeeee!

Grandma Janice had a turn

And me

And Aunt Mandy

And Tim
And Mom, Dad, Uncle Kurt, Reid...
I think we ALL took a turn!

We settled in for a book

But what's a weekend at the Cabin
without a late night Ranger ride???
Please Grandpa???

That's what I'm talking about!
Oh, the times we'll remember,
right, Grandpa?

A + B = EM

I started preschool about a month ago.
There have, of course, been the expected
growing pains, i.e. constant colds and junk.

When I started spiking temps 6 days into this cold
with no end in sight,
we finally went to see the pediatrician.
Ear infections.
My second time ever.
Awesome.
But, mmm, amoxicillin is tasty!

However,
7 days into the antibiotic course,
Mom got a call from school.
I had a weird rash.
Red spots.
Measles?  Chicken pox?
Nope, Mom diagnosed early hives.

Well, those hives didn't stay small.
By Friday night, they had spread over most of my body
and limbs and a few on my face.
We stopped the amoxicillin.
We started some benadryl.
And we were SURE things would look better in the morning.

Or not.

Ever seen Erythema Multiforme?
Mom had.
Now the whole family has.
It's basically an extreme allergic reaction.

I'm allergic to amoxicillin.

Awful, right?

Have no fear.
8 hours after I started steroids,
I was looking more normal.
Boo!
No more tasty bubble gum medicine for me!
