Beachin'

The beaches of Gulf Shores were beautiful!!!

Even Beck enjoyed them

We made sandcastles

And did a lot of digging

A LOT of digging

I really enjoyed the ocean this time around

I became quite the boogie-boarder

I caught a lot of great waves

with Mom's help

There was a lot of relaxing

 And splashing

Kaitlyn, the beach babe

the master sand digger

We were a heck of a crew

on the beach!

Are we there yet???

Before we left Birmingham,

we hit up Costco.

It's the economical way to feed

6 kids and 4 adults

for 8 days!

And look!

They have a cart big enough for all 6 of us to ride together!

 After a 4 1/2 hour drive

that became 7+ hours

(note to self--AVOID Hwy 59!!!)

and a reckless trip through Walmart,

we FINALLY got to our house on the beach.

And did we mention it had a POOL???

We weren't the only guests enjoying the pool...

Look at the family of frogs we caught!

Mom and Dad and Chris and Chip
were a bit frustrated and stressed out from the traffic.

But nothing a few ice cold Coronas can't fix!

Road trippin'

Vacation time!

We left late Thursday night headed for a halfway point...

Padukah, Kentucky.

Then Friday morning, 

we were off again.

This time headed for Birmingham, Alabama

There were lots of things to do in the car:

magnets, coloring, scavenger hunts, car bingo,

travel games, Tag readers, Fruit Loop jewelry.

And did I mention there were prizes to be won?

We were pretty thrilled with our new friends.

And then,

we finally arrived...

and met our good friends

Kylie, Cohen, and Kaitlyn!!!

We enjoyed Happy Hour

Did some swimming

And then hit Moe's for some bar-b-q

and jammin' tunes on the patio

Ah!  This is looking like a great week!

Hello, vacation!

Fun at the Pool

Papa Kim had his knee worked on today,

so Grandma Janice came to stay with me.

We went to the pool!

It is one of my favorites!

Did I mention Jack was there?

Oh, yeah.

And Wes.

We travel in packs.

It's more fun that way.

Four-wheelers and Fireworks

It was nice to get away

for a long weekend

at the cabin.

You know what that means...

4-wheelin' with Coleman 

And Ranger riding with Grandpa

Ian came to hang out too

We made Grandpa a shirt for Father's Day

He was pretty excited

And we were pretty proud

We caught lightning bugs with

Mom, Jake, and Chelsea

Did more 4-wheeling up and down the path

Beck even got to go!

Did I mention the 4 wheeler?

(Unless we were swimming,

we were pretty much on the 4 wheeler)

And of course,

we bought some fireworks from

the Boy Scouts.

We really liked blowing stuff up this year!

The 3 Amigos...

There were fountains, parachutes,

poopin' chickens, and poopin' dogs

I liked the super sparklers!

At the swimming hole,

Coleman and Wes made "pools"

Beck swam in his own "pool"

A great time was had by all
