Fun at the Cabin

We spent a whole 10 days at the cabin!!!

Here's a little of what we did...

I LOVE to walk to the end of the path
and throw rocks

Cousin Coleman and Wes do to

Look out fish!

Grandma helped me get the rocks
waaay out on the point

Back at Aunt Mandy's cabin,
the water pump was a lot of fun

And who doesn't love hauling rocks in the wagon?

Grandma got us these fishing poles with magnetic fish

Red snapper, anyone?

How 'bout some, er, purple tuna?

Gotcha!

Waking up Aunt Mandy was a favorite every morning!

The Ranger was a HUGE hit

Can you tell by the grin?

Washers are fun

Even more fun with the big boys, Jake and Ethan

I smoked 'em

There were some quiet conversations with Grandma

And Daddy

And did I mention Ranger rides?

We had coffee and strawberries on the "Veranda" with Grandma and Grandpa
Well, Mom had the coffee.
We stuck to strawberries.

And when you throw rocks down the hill,
you have to listen really closely to hear them hit the water...

The 4-wheeler was a close second to the Ranger

and we did a lot...

a lot...

A LOT of 4-wheeler driving!
Well, maybe less driving, more riding.

We hosted an appetizer party or two

Carrot, anyone?

I pulled Wes in the wagon

We stayed cool in the pool

Crafts were fun

Bringing my caterpillar to life

What's wrong with my eyes?

No trip is complete without a visit to the Cheese Factory

Wes took a dog ride

And a moose ride

I LOVE s'mores!

Wes loves CHOCOLATE

 And CHOCOLATE SHAKES!

We even stopped at the caboose I've been dying to see
(it's at the Osceola turn off of Hwy 13)

AND WE CLIMBED ON IT!

We knew Osceola would make for a relaxing family vacation!

Happy Birthday, America!

What says "Happy 4th of July" like
firework shaped pancakes?

That's the right way to start out the morning!

After some swimming and a nap,
we donned our best red, white, and blue gear

and headed to the waters' edge at the Saddle to shoot off some fireworks!

The crew (Uncle Steve, Jake, Ethan, and Aunt Mandy) got set up

We all waited with anticipation

Glow sticks ready!

Let the show begin!

This was my first year to watch.
I clung to Mom--it was a bit loud!

Jack was good-to-go in his earmuffs

 It was pretty awesome!!!

We had so much fun,
we bought a few more things and celebrated July 5th.

That's a little tank, if you can't tell

I wasn't so sure I wanted to be a part of this...

Check out those snakes!!!

There was one called Poopy Puppy.
Here's what it looks like when I say "Poopy Puppy"

Jack got his first sparkler
 That's not a sparkler...

THIS is a sparkler!

Double fisting

Here was my prized pick...
A FIRE TRUCK!
It was pretty cool.
The ladder went up at the end.

They look even cooler in the dark!

After much asking and looking sad,
my parents finally conceded and let me do one too...
It was SO FUN!

How do you top all this off?
We blew up a watermelon!
Nothing says "Thank goodness for our Freedom"
like a melon blown to smithereens!

Happy 4th of July, everyone!
