Playdates with Mika

On Thursdays,

our friend Mike has the day off.

So we meet up with him and Mika for some playtime and some lunch.

Me and Mika are pretty good friends.

 We play together pretty well!

Mika, are you in there?

It's kinda nice to have a friend your own age!

More than slides

Today, we went to the park.

Jack picked the park.

It was the one by the pool where he had his swim lessons.

It was a very cool park.

It had all this equipment that looked like castles.

There were swings and tunnels and slides.

But the coolest part was the ROCK WALL!

Jack climbed up all by himself!

All the way to the top!

WAAAAY up to the top!

Wedding on the farm

Dad's cousin Todd got married today.

It was a beautiful day for a wedding!

We were looking pretty beautiful too

The wedding was nice,

but what we really loved was all the fun farm stuff...

Check this out!!!

We picked corn

And look at all the TRUCKS!!!

The combine was so big,

we could sit in the wheels!

He was so excited,

all he could do was squeak.

After all that excitement,

there was plenty of eating, drinking, dancing, and socializing to be done.

And Weston got his first taste of girls.

(He's the one sitting in the middle of the circle.

He pushed his way to the middle and just sat down.)

Mom, you'd better watch out!

Tigers and elephants and horses, oh my!

Today was our annual trip to the Barnum and Bailey circus.

We started with dinner at Johnny's Tavern.

It was so good,

Weston tried to eat the stick off the corndog.

Then, we got there early so we could see the pre-show.

It was so cool!

We watched an elephant paint,

met a few of the clowns,

got tattoos,

and got to sit on one of the dirt bikes the rode in the sphere!

I'm so excited!!!

It's about to start!!!

We saw elephants, motorcycle tricks, tigers, lots of dancing,

trapeze artists, lots of trampoline jumping, and more!

It was definitely the best circus yet! 

S'more please!

I got to stay up late tonight with the big people.

And if that wasn't a big enough treat,

we made S'MORES!!!

This was my first s'mores experience.

Grandma helped with toasting my marshmallow.

Mmmmm.

When can we do this again???

Evenings at the lake

In the evening, after all that swimming,

we would have a bit of quieter time.

We especially love riding on the 4 wheelers and in the Ranger.

I love to fly my plane.

It goes to Myrtle Beach a lot.

Do you want to fly somewhere else?

And Wes would throw rocks.

Everyone loves rocks!

 And did I mention we love to ride in the Ranger?

(It usually made Wes fall asleep.  Anything moving made Wes fall asleep.

I think he's still recovering from Myrtle Beach.)

Labor Day at the Cabin

We needed a vacation from our vacation.

So we headed down to Aunt Mandy's cabin for some more fun.

Every morning started with a walk with just our fam.

(Everyone else was still asleep!)

Throwing rocks into the lake was always a hit.

We were always on the look out for some bugs too.

In the afternoon, we'd hit the water.

Everyone was there!

There were lots of things to do besides swimming.

Jake and I caught frogs.

 Grandma, Jake, Dad and I also swam to the island to check it out...

It was a long swim!

It was a lot of fun!
