Beckett decided to “dive” in to competitive swimming this winter
And has been training on Surge for the last month or two.
Coach Ryan promised to push him hard and help him cut time
And tonight, we were excited to see what Beck could do.
Coach put him in the 13 and over group—
He’s 3rd from the left…
Clearly not really 13 and over.

He hit the blocks for the 50 free
And swam his heart out
He took 2 full seconds off his freestyle PR,
Coming in at 31.05s.
Good thing he was in the 13 and over group—
He blew the 11-12 group out of the water.
The other stroke tonight was backstroke.
He was off the blocks fast
(He’s second from the top)
He took a few tenths off his old PR
With a time of 40.67s
(And again, blew up to 11-12 group).
Can’t wait to see where a few more weeks of training will get him!
