Make way for the “big kids”—
It’s Beckett’s time to Weston is rocking it at IRI with Jack
So we only have one kiddo to cheer for this afternoon.
We’re sure he’s going to put on a show!
Here he is with his medley relay team
Ready to rock on the block
And rock it they did—
2nd place overall!
He dropped 0.5s in the backstroke
For a new PR of 40.90s and 11th place overall
And the PRs didn’t stop there—
He dropped 1.37s in breast, cracking 40 seconds
With a new PR of 39.66s and 3rd place overall
And dropped 1.37s in IM with a new PR of 1:24.39s
And 9th place overall.
Check out this free relay team—
They took 4th overall!
The swimming was incredible
But the goofing off is pretty memorable too
Tucker was into it
Mom talked Beck and some of his buddies into a picture
They took it to the next level
A couple of times
The pictures were just a way to pass the time
Until the High Point ceremony.
With 11th, 3rd, and 9th,
Beckett was really hopeful he’d get it again this year.
And guess what?
He did!
12th fastest 11-12 year old boy in the city!
Even cooler,
His friend Cooper,
Who he’s been rooting for for years
Got it too—
5th!
There were 6 Waves in this age class!
Awesome job, B!
Waves took the Spirit Award
(For best attendance)
And 3rd place overall.
That calls for a celebratory dinner—
A car full of High Point winners want to go out!
And this year at Johnny’s was our BIGGEST event yet!
We took over nearly half the restaurant!
It was a day/night/SEASON to remember.
Great job, guys!
