I was SO EXCITED to have a field trip this year!
We headed to Deanna Rose to check out the animals.
It wasn't a beautiful day,
but we made the most of it anyway.
The baby goats were cute
and feeding the big goats was fun
We raced around on the tractors
for a while
But what really captured our attention
was the fishing pond.
One of the girls in my group
notice a pole sitting on the dock
and a leftover bucket filled with worms.
So we all took turns fishing
And man,
were they biting!
Between the 8 or so of us,
we caught over 20 fish!
(don't worry--we threw them back)
Somehow,
the rain stayed away
just long enough for us to eat lunch
and climb back on the buses!
Third grade field trip in the books!
