With the pandemic going on,
we really weren't sure what to do with Halloween.
Mom and Dad hemmed and hawed for days.
Interestingly,
when presented with the idea of a Halloween Party
with Mema and Pappo
instead of trick or treating,
we JUMPED at the idea
and never looked back!
But a party clearly needs costumes--
and look what Mema put together this year:
A whole lotta Hogwarts students
and even Harry Potter himself!
Professor McGonagall stopped by too!
Let the games begin!
We divided into teams:
Pappo and me,
Mema and Jack,
Wes and Mom,
Beck and Dad.
Our first game was an eyeball hunt all over the yard.
There were 144 to find!
I think we found them all!
After a balloon stomp for coins,
we settled into a few rowdy rounds
of Bingo
It turned out to be a lot more fun
than we thought it would be!
There were some good conversations
and some big winners!
Then we moved into one of the crazier games of the night--
cup stack and smash.
You had to stack orange cups
in the right order to make a jack-o-lantern
and then knock it all down
with some fling darts
It got really crazy
Cups and darts went EVERYWHERE!
We're still not quite sure who won.
There was a lot of chaos!
Up next was carrying CANDY CORN
on spoons in a relay.
But we all had to warm up
with a how-many-eyeballs-can-you-carry
competition in an
Apples Up on Top style
Right--to the relay!
This one got crazy too!
And Ranger got to eat a lot of spilled candy corn.
The finale of the night
was a mummy race.
There were lots of different strategies
and more chaos
and some anti-COVID toilet paper wasting.
Me and Pappo clearly won this one!
After stuffing our faces with so many prized cookies
and all the Halloween candy we could eat
(yay, Costco bag!),
we settled in for, well, more candy
on the popcorn ball
and a classic movie--ET!
It was a REALLY fun night!!!
We were still reeling from it the next morning!
We may never do traditional Halloween again!
