Wilder than expected

It's been a while
(ok, maybe just a year or two)
since we've been at home for the 4th,
but this year,
since Mom is working,
here we are.

We were a little worried there wouldn't be much action.
We bought a few things to keep us entertained
and hoped that all the bangs and pops
the last few nights
meant big things to come now that
the 4th was finally here

Ready with our ginormous sparklers!

Everybody

loves a sparkler!

We had some fountains and smoke bombs

and then our neighbor Mark
gave us a bunch of their leftovers too!

So here was our show...
but what we didn't capture was the THOUSANDS
of fireworks going off in every direction for HOURS on end!!!

Holy cow.
It was crazier and bigger than any show we've ever been to.
There was so much to see,
Mom said she was dizzy and overloaded by the end of the night.

The downside?
We're not sure Ranger is going to recover from this one...

Not so bad
for a 4th at home!
But we're still counting down to the show at the cabin...
